While in Pak n save Alize decided it might be fun to scream and scream and see how many customers he can piss off. After getting beside myself and a sore arm from carrying him, scanning my shopping and pushing the trolley I came across the rusks in the baby aisle.I grapped the box like some sort of mad women, scanned it then opened it up and gave one to the squirming creature hanging by this stage over my arm. Hmmm he went crazy on it and feel asleep on the way home still holding on to the dear thing for dear life!!!!

We have shop n go at Pak n Save, you scan all your own groceries when you put them in your trolley, saves time and you know what your running total is

Its called shop and go and its fantastic!!! Also easier to keep an eye on the budget. The scanner is like a little hand held device thingee.

Awww cute! Benjy did the same thing when he was smaller and we wound up tearing into some cruskits. I couldn't believe how fast they disappeared! Weird thing is, he won't have a bar of them since then?!

Very cute!

I'm very careful about eat-before-you-pay, try to take some crackers or whatever in my bag because I almost got caught out once, even though I had scanned everything I almost left my eftpos card at home - found it in the car with everything waiting at the checkout

I love it, so cute.
I like the idea of "scanning" not something I have heard of before.

doesn't help for the spur of the moment "I need something for dinner" shops though I used to take something when Ella was younger, and I'd plan my trips to the supermarket. Things are a bit busier now though
I usually only open luncheon though (if she doesn't get a slice from the deli).

Yeah that scanning thing sounds good. Never heard of it before. Some supermarkets we went to in London had a similar thing where u scanned your own groceries at the checkout, and then u paid by switch (eftpos) or cash into a machine, and they just had one operator overseeing about 4 checkouts.

With Pak n Save shop n go, you get a scanner when you arrive at the supermarket, scan everything as it goes in the trolley, and then pay what the scanner says at the end. Occasionally they'll rescan your trolley to check that you're not mucking them around. (Usually the day you're in a hurry! Nah really it's done randomly and less and less as you have the card for longer.) It makes for heaps quicker exiting times, we all know what the kids can be like by the time you've been cruising around for an hour!
