I'm always looking for new ideas for dinner! So go on, share what's cooking at your place.

Last night we had pumpkin soup, bacon and cheese bread, and sticky apricot slice.

Tonight it's pork roast ($5/kg in PN ), roast potatoes, kumara, pumpkin, and gravy. Maybe peas if I remember at the right time lol.

Last night we had croc-pot stew - blade steak, potatoes, big chunks of carrots, and peas in a yummy gravy. And of course eaten with bread and butter

Tonight probably rissoles (they're something like $2.95 at Countdown for 6 of them marinated) with steamed capsicum, broccoli and carrots. Served with Best Foods Mayo on the side. YUM

most likely mac and cheese here. apprently we are going to the out laws tonight so it gotta be quick and simple and something that tash will eat as she has a serious cheese fetish and is going thru a fussy stage.

well....I was going to have my fav pasta dish until I got home from warehouse to find out DH had eaten the bacon in the fridge - key ingrediant. So now I guess I will be having a baked spud, salad and my trusty tasty corn chip tegal takeouts.lol.

But if I was having my fav pasta its Penne pasta with Basil pesto, then topped with crispy bacon and chorizo (which I fry up when bacon is semi crispy and put 1 tsp of honey in just before I serve it) and then top it all off with toasted pinenuts....mmmmm....yummy!!! And it takes me all of 10 mins to make - and most of that time is cooking the penne.

Ham steaks (with pineapple for me), mashed potatoes, pumpkin cooked in butter and brown sugar, and peas.

Exactly what we were going to have last night before Xavier took 1 1/2 hours extra to go to sleep and I lost the plot at my husband because I was feeling so drained. We had fish and chips.

Usually Fri night is either takeaways or get your own or go without.

But I have taken out a small lamb roast for my flatties (DP & SIL, I don't eat red meat)
I will add some potatoes, kumera, parsnip, pumpkin, cauli & broccoli with cheese sauce. Then whatever else is floating in the fridge will get chucked in.

Last night we had pork chops, roast spud, kumara and pumpkin with gravy (was meant to have peas but left it too late!).

Tonight, corned sliverside, potato, carrots, broccoli, cauli and peas.

Very boring in our house.

Last night we had home made burgers... patties made with mince, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, cumin and ground coriander.
Lettuce, grated carrot, cheese, chutney, but unfortunately no tomato - silly flatties decided they were too expensive to buy.

Tonight Gaz is on butter chicken detail. He cooks out of a can... but I'm not arguing because HE COOKS!

I'm trying to cut down on using cans and pre-prepared ingredients (partly cos so many of them have milk powder or egg in them, and the cost). Am now quite a fan of being "creative" in the kitchen and also one pot wonders! Trying to get Han to eat more meat, so making lots of meat n vege dishes. My current fave is meatloaf (mince, sausage meat and lots of tomato sauce) Hannah loves it!

hopefully will be interesting "good" - had been staying away from vaguely spciy food for the kids but a few weeks ago, i made wedges and made a cheese sauce to go over them. tripped and put a "wee" bit nuch cayenne pepper. gave the kids theirs, they started eating, then i sat down and tasted it - woah, really spciy! the kids loved it and wolfed it all down. so now I will be introducing more spicy food - bring on the Thai Curries!

We had takeaway curry coz Maya was at a friend's place so it was just Willie and I.

Tonight it's pork shoulder chops with apple sauce (actually I just pinch a tin of the gremlins apples ), mashed kumara with a pinch of curry powder, broccoli and carrot.

hehe I have done that too!

We have quite a bit of meat and gravy left over from last night's dinner, I have the meat sliced and covered with gravy (so when it's reheated, the gravy will keep the meat moist) and we're going to have hot meat & gravy sandwiches. I'm going to reheat the pumpkin and potato from last night too, it will probably end up sliced on the sandwiches..... and an apple crumble (our own apples! ) to fill us all up

I love B and E pie, but haven't made it for ages either. Must do that one of these days, it's good coz it's something you can prepare earlier and then just reheat.

Tonight it's steak and I did a big vege shop so will probably do beans, corn and spuds with it, or maybe asparagus, corn and spuds. Gremlins get potato, butternut, kumara and broccoli mash.

I can't wait to make the gravy... it's my fav thing to do! My Grandma would be so proud (She was a gravy nazi from way-back... no packets at her house)

My Dad never liked b&e with anything in it except bacon and eggs... guess it makes sense lol. Mum served it with peas and mashed potato.

My mum put mixed veg in hers, I make it that way too.

I forgot that Willie is doing one of my faves tonight to go with the steak - portabello mushrooms in white sauce with lots of salt and pepper
