I have been having pain in my groin area for a couple of weeks now. But now it seems to be getting more frequent and more painful. Sometimes it's very hard to walk.
Has anyone else experienced this or know why it happens? Is it just to do with muscles down there etc?

does it feel like someone has kicked you in the groin and its very bruised??? Is it about where your pubic bone is? Thats what I am having and there was another post recently about it too....something to do with your ligaments softening and the bones seperating a little....not fun!!!!! I'll see if I can find the other posts and bump them for you.

Yeah I've got that too, sometimes it feels like everything down there is crooked like it needs to be clicked back into place. If I've walked a fair distance it becomes more of a muscle type pain. I'm waiting for a referral to the physio at Greenlane hospital and hopefully they can put things right.

If it's really bothering you, you can ask your midwife for a physio referral, and they can fit you with a belt-like thing that supports your hips better, to ease some of the pain.

im going through it and have been for some time now, talk to your midwife, my midwife referred me to a physio and i got a tubigrip (as they ran otu of belly belts) and also do your antenatal exercises or ask for some if you ahvent been given a list of exercises they really do help.
i cant sleep in bed anymore im doomed to the couch as i can only sleep propped up by pillows, if i sleep in bed i cant move at all in the morning or even roll in bed.
but my best advice is to get your midwife to refer you to a physio for a belly belt or tubi grip and get soem exercises it really helps me.

I had a tubigrip as I found the belts uncomfy. It helped a lot (until it got too hot to wear it )

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies. I've read the other thread too thanks for bumping it up.
It's good to know I can do things to help it. I think I will have a chat with my chiropractor (and midwife) when I see her next and in the meantime will be trying to do things to not aggravate it.
