I was playing with Jack on the lawn this afternoon, and as I bent down to wrestle him, he jumped up (you can see where this is going huh?) and the top of his head hit the bottom of my chin. He's a 30+kg dog, so you can imagine how hard it was when we connected ...
So, at the moment, I can barely open my mouth (the hinge of my jaw took the brunt as I was in the process of making growly noises at the dog when he got me and so was holding my mouth funny ...it would have been fine if I'd not been holding my jaw at a funny angle), my ears hurt, my jaw was screaming prior to my downing some fab pain killers (the ones I got after my op last Sept. I knew they'd come in handy some time!), and I feel a bit of a dork
The husband thinks it's hilarious ...or at least he did until I said I might have to go to A & E and get it checked out if it's not improved by tomorrow - then he started to worry that they might think he'd done it!
I do hurt myself in the most inventive ways ...

Ha! Yes, BS! I came home from work the other day, and DH came out to meet me with his hand covered in blood Same thing ...he'd been playing with Jess, and she'd grabbed his hand, not the tug-rope, by accident.
I was a bit worried I might have broken it, but the pain is a lot less today, it almost just feels like pressure if that makes sense ...eating is a bit hard - I had some toast for brekky, and it was small bites, and only chewing straight up and down. I never noticed how much I move my jaw when chewing before!
Blimmin dogs ...
I couple of years ago when I broke my little toe, they both came running to see what all the yelling was about and Jack came flying in and 30kg of dog stood on the toe in question! Aargh!!! I's funny *now* ...

Owwwww Ginger!
My Mum broke her nose pretty thoroughly falling down the stairs last year, and her surgeon told her that they see a huge number of facial injuries caused by well-meaning but over-enthusiastic large dogs! Mum & Dad have a German Shepherd so they've been a bit more cautious leaning over her since hearing that.

Ouch... I'd get it checked out incase you've broken your jaw. My little brother broke his a month or so ago and it was a week before my dad got sick of his moaning and took him to the doc! hehe

Yeeeouch! Poor you Ginger!
I think, in light of your injuries that cake for breakfast might be more suitable than toast.
I hope its all better soon, sounds really painful!

OMG! what a crazy injury - funny but also not so, if YKWIM! I hope it isn't broken, but could pay to have it checked as broken bones can be funny things, not realised then heal funny so you end up with a clicky wonky jaw - that would not be good!

Argh - I started with a clocky wonky jaw. I wonder if that's the only reason it didn't break! It's so used to popping left, right and centre.
I'll give it another day or so (anyone picking up that I really don't want to go to A & E...? ) and see. If nothing else, I've been checking that the dog isn't ab out to bounce today before bending down to cuddle him!
