Hey Ladies,

Jaxon is on 3 meals a day and eats quite alot.

Hes been having mainly the jar and tin food so far and yesterday I decided to make some kumera, pumpkin, potato and a little cauliflower and mashed it up. He didnt like it at first but I kept giving it to him and he grew to like it.

Anyway, Jaxon sleeps all night now with no problems. He had tea (his fresh veges)about 5pm last night then a breast feed before going to bed. He woke about 12pm screaming. This is so abnormal for him. I gave him gripe water, panadol, bonjela because he is teething as well. I wanted to cover all bases.

He settled down again but took about an hour to settle him.

It shouldnt be the veges I gave him... If it is then what am I supposed to do. I dont want to give him bought stuff all the time.

With his teething he has never been like this and he was pushing his legs as they do with wind. Therefore I gathered that was the main problem.

Any suggestions??

I doubt very much that it would be the veges....I'd say my money would be on teething if he's going through that at the moment. Maddie can wake up several times during the night when teething.

Maybe swop his lunch and supper. Gosh I dont know. Just see how he is after a week before making changes. Might be something totally unrelated.

You could try cutting the cauliflower just in case that is causing him too much wind. The rest of the veges shouldn't cause any problems. Only other thing to check is if he is constipated.

Hopefully something last night unsettled him out of the blue and he'll be "back to normal" tonight.

ps I'm pretty sure bonjela and pamol aren't supposed to be used at the same time because you can overdose on medicine that way.

His homemade veges sound like a great feast for an 8-month old!  Good on ya.  Maybe try them without the cauli though, if you're worried about wind?  It sux when we're trying to guess what's wrong, eh.  Ella did a similar thing last night and this morn.  Let's just both go with hoping it's teething, eh!   God Bless that Pamol.

Pamol and Bonjela together are fine, as AlyAde has mentioned it is products containing aspirin that are the problem. I have also double checked this with my GP, when Erin started teething
