I was just wondering about this. I know it is supposed to happen around 12wks, do you know when it happens? Does it happen "overnight"?. I have a bit of a bump low down so am wondering if I will be able to tell.

It varies and yes it can happen overnight. It did with me with Josh I woke up and hello little preggy bump.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

It's measured on average 1cm per week of pregnancy but baby growth spurts make it "growth spurt" also. At 12weeks yep, you should be able to feel a small bump. But no movements for another month or two.
