hi girls, now I've got my two beautiful children I think thats probaby it, I hated being on the pill and took myself off a few years ago (hence 2 kids, opps), I was wondering what contraception all the Mum's who want no more (or 90% sure they want no more) use?

Congrats on the arrival of wee Jeremy Spudling - I must have missed his birth announcement!

I'm getting a Mirena. It is pricy if you don't qualify for it. But in the mean time its the old rubber. ------------- I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived! |

Thumbs up to the Mirena here too.
It is not very painful to get fitted and after intermittent light bleeding in the first 3 months I have had no periods at all and no horrid side effects. If you're planning to get your full 5-7 years worth of contraception from it, I think it is definitely worth the $450. ------------- Mel, Mummy to E: 6, B: 4 and:

i had a normal iud put in at the end of last year back when i didnt want anymore kids and its worked great so far. the only problem i had was when the gyno was trying to put the thingy up to hold my cervix open i kept wanting to push it out lol.

No. The bleeding I had after it was put in was heavy for the first week after insertion, and then for the rest of the 3 months was so light it hardly even warranted more than a panty liner.
