Will I NEED a double stroller??  I love the one I have now but it has no toddler seat option and I will also have to get a bassinette for it as it is only suitable for 6 months and up (Leo was 8 months when we got it).  I have checked out the Phil & Teds, very impressed!  Any ideas and experiences welcome!! Thanks!!

I would if I had two just get a sling. Put small bubs in the sling and toddler in the pram. (but then that is me) No need to buy a bassinette then but can get the stroller then if you want when they are bigger.

I love using my double stroller, if I didn't have it I would definitely have the baby in a sling or front pack and toddler in the pushchair. Briona's starting to walk around a bit but she tires quickly with walking, as did Hannah at that age.

We have a Phil & Ted E3, and love it! There's 18 months between the boys, and the pushchair has been great. I considered getting a sling, but Xavier is such a big boy that I thought I wouldn't get the use out of it.

If I had only one baby (hey, a girl can dream ) I'd use a sling all the time and not bother with a stroller at all, but alas, my babies came two at a time so I am reduced to using a double buggy the size of a small bus.

Am thinking about getting one of the new Phil & Ted Sports, now that the gremlins are bigger I could put them both in it, whereas it wouldn't take two newborns.

my idear at the moment is that i will use a frount pack when baby is little i have also brought a wrist leach for miss 2 (she can get out of her stroler and man she can run verry fast) she loves her leach because she can explor the shelves at the shops and she is not confined to her stroler.

I've got a double stroller - started with the mountain buggy double but it was just too cumbersome to get in and out of the car at the mall (but great for family walks). Now we've got a double umbrella stroller - from the Baby Factory - around $280. It's great, reasonably light and gets around the mall like a dream (with storage space)

I bought the Childcare double umbrella stroller from Baby Factory, probably the same one as Maree and that was great, lightweight, easy to steer (even one handed) and folded down really small. I only used it for a few months though as Jaz now walks everywhere, I've just sold it and we're back to the single stroller.

I have the Valco Runabout Tri-Mode (Special Edition...oooh), which has an extra toddler seat attachment which I purchased and have put aside for later incase I need it... Was almost going to get the Phil and Teds as they were similar price and weight but let hubby decide and he thought this one looked manlier :)

we still looking for a pram to and i only have 3wks till im due lol.
we ahve found most toddler seats only hold to 16kg and haleighs a very heavy toddler weighing at 14kg so it would be pointless for us.
we love the phil and teds and i really want it but its a matter of finding the money for it lol.
the sling idea is good but if your walking lots like i do cause i dont drive it would be to difficult to get around, and very hot work.

This is my issue. The Phil & Teds toddler seat apparently only takes up to 15kg which is fine coz if you have a toddler and a younger bub you can ust move bub into the toddler seat and put the toddler in the actual pram itself which has a higher weight limit.

But as both my babies are the same age/size I'm worried they will hit 15kg before they are ready to be out of the buggy full time. Maya was well over 3 when she got to 15kg, but the gremlins have grown a lot faster than her so far...

we are geting the phil and ted E3 twin buggy i really wanted to get the single one with toddler seat but my babys are heavy so we have got the phil and ted twin it costs us $850 but i do alot of walking and kalems schools not very far away so im guessing walking to get him might be alot easier than geting 2 under 2 out of car etc etc.

We'd go for the Mountain Buggy double for out walking (sorry but really not a P&T fan *ducks*) but for malls etc stick with the umbrella stroller and an ergo or sling.

i have been tossing up between teh mountain buggy and phil and teds, I like them both.
what sort of twin umbrellas would anyone recomend?
im not short and i find most are so low i need to lean forward and it hurts my back.
wouldnt a twin pram be lopsided feeling with a heavy toddler and a baby?

FYI for anyone interested, the toddler seat on the Valco has a max weight of 20kgs so can hold a little more than the average.

so far i've just been using the sling for baby and stroller or buggie for toddler. It has been successful and no major dramas getting boththe hkids out and about in this way.
In a few months time I think I will buy a double stroller

have to say I'm a bit  that 2 of the prams I am looking at are on there!!

Funny how 2 of the most expensive, quite popular brands sold in NZ are on there (Phil & Ted's, Valco). I'd love to know what the tests specifically involved.. I know it says they failed either the construction or performance, however how would you find out what they did to determine they failed?

Does anyone have a consumer.org logon and happy to post the report results??

personally thoise accidents could have been avoidable.
who stops their pram without putting ont eh brake on a slope where the pram could roll into teh river? JMO

No pram is 100% safe. I have heard of horrible stories of toddler seats where the seat has fallen off the buggy and the child has been injured.
