Keith is 5 1/2 months old now and I have noticed that he sounds like he is weezing , its more so when he gets exctited or is moving around alot . The doctor said that is just his wind pipe that is still soft that makes that sound but Im not to sure about that . He had preumonia when he was born and Im woundering if this has anything to do with it or if it is asthma , as my father and my brother have it .

Dose anyone else have this situation or know if it is asthma ??????

I maybe off track, but my boy was weezing after we feed him. It turned out he was allergic to milk. This is the only sign we got at the beginning but then he got Excema which is also a sign.
I maybe off track with your one and maybe the doc is right as he had preumonia and could still be developing....?

it could be asthma but they won't tell you it is until after they have had a few 'attacks' and are much older (4-5??)
jack's first 'attack' was at 18mths and he has an inhaler which i give him mostly when he has a cold. but they still won't call it asthma

and charli, up until a few weeks ago, always sounded like she was weezing especially after screaming or playing. we are still going to the respiratory specialist as they don't know what it is.
they don't think it's asthma either although i do

Erin started making a noise that sounded like wheezing around 6 mos, and was just a sound that came when she was excited, still does it sometimes. Hopefully it is nothing to worry about for your boy.

I have had two doctors tell me that the bronchial tubes in under threes are very small. therefore everything looks and sounds like asthma, but doesn't necessarily mean anything. hope thats somewhat helpful
