Just out of curiosity.
How early have you tested,(like dpo)and got a positive and what test did you use?
Looking forward to your responses.

Hi purpledragon

I tested 2 days before AF was due cos I felt weird and quite rough - about 12 DPO and got a faint BFP - I used a Quickcard test - then I tested again 2 days later on the day AF was due with a QuickStick and got a slightly darker line.

Hi,

I used Internet strips bought from overseas on 10DPO and 11DPO and both of them came up with really really faint lines. Then I bought a Discover test 12DPO and that line came up really clearly. An undisputable 2nd line!

12dpo with a First Response and it was positive straight away, even tho it was night time so I didn't use FMU My hCG levels two days later were 270 so would have been around 100 or so when I did the test.

Your HCG constantly doubles and the lowest a pregnancy test can pick up is 15 (forget the measurement unit and the test brand). That would be the earliest you could get a very faint BFP from around 5 days past implantation and you can implant anywhere from CD3-10! So that would mean a faint BFP from around 8DPO onwards
Don't you just love maths?

I used a "Crystal Clear" test at 8DPO and got a faint second line, then used a "Clear Blue" later in the day and it was still a faint positive, and I used a Digital at 9DPO and got a "Positive"
I think everyone is different though, it really repends on how much HCG you have in your pee as to wether you get a BFP as ear;y as 8DPO.

Good Luck

I used crystal clear at about 17dpo I think and the line was really strong, I had put my first morning urine in the fridge, although in saying that I did it again straight away with fresh arvo urine and was the same stron possitive

Thanks for the responses. I just think this is interesting for others too when it comes to testing time.
Keep them coming.

I didn't test until 5 weeks and 5 days into my pregnancy. I was talking to DF and said "wasn't I meant to have my monthly a couple of weeks ago". I was so bad at keeping track.

But I used First Response. I took two tests to be sure. Those First Response 3 packs aren't bad for $13 odd bucks from Countdown.

Still seems like baby is ages away. Haven't had a scan and I am booked in for bloods.

Baby dust to all.

I also understood implantation was 7 to 10 days after conception, give or take a few days.

I didn't test until i was around 2 days late so would have been 16dpo.

Some great advice I was given was not to test early as you run the risk of picking up on a pregnancy that terminates itself. If you hadn't tested and didn't know you have assumed you were having a normal period instead of miscarring. This is what happened to me early on when we were TTC and after that I wouldn't test until I was actually late. I'll follow the same next time too. It saves the heart break.

Ahhhh- all this calculations to find out! I think I will just wait like I did last time to the day or two after I AF was due, rather than giving me false hope or early disappointment!

sounds gross but i couldnt bare to throw those sticks away til Gabriella arrived safe n sound.....they were the first time we knew she was on her way and were kinda special...in a weird way!
