Hi im judith, 24 yr old mum to Caleb 4 1/2 yrs, my uterus is and upside down heart shape, and divided into two, with two cervix and two vaginal entrys... my uterus means i have about quater of a normal sized uterus to carry in... I went in2 labour at 26wks with caleb. delivered at 31wks after nearly 6wks of labour, he was in hospital till 2mnths of age, on oxy till 8mnths, i
my waters broke a week ago with this one, im nearly 18wks now, was put in hosp but my waters have come bk and in hm on strict bedrest, didnt go in2 labour, luckily but chances are really low of holding on for much longer.. i have faith they told me id never carry long enough for a viable birth nd i have, if i make it to 25 wks ill be put bk in hospital till 30wks 4 a c section birth.. and we havnt yet found out sex... my man dusnt want to but i am... ive also had 4 m/c in between Caleb and this 1....

I hope that all goes well with this pregnancy and that you at least reach the safe stage.
Good luck! Our thoughts are with you....keep us updated!

Ohhhh....don’t feel like that!
Since your condition is not very common I imagine that you will find it difficult to find support groups and yes there will be people who would want to know why and how.....but think...if they learn any thing from you and help others with your condition...
For us you are just one more mum to be....and we are here with our ears and support.
I have my own little thing going...I have high blood pressure and go to high risk clinic every second week and had countless scans, due to my 3 bleeding episodes.
Let’s just hope for a safe and successful pregnancy for you....okay??

Hi Judith. Hey I'm a few weeks different from you, in terms of pregnancy. My first baby was very very active, but this one doesn't seem to be as much. Don't worry too much about bubs not moving around a lot, as neither does mine!
|
Posted By: mumstheword
Date Posted: 02 August 2005 at 2:09pm
wow 4 days different??? Bubs has put my mind to rest after just having a really active time, for about the last half anhour, today has got better, my friends have been over as well as my sister, my friend has a 6wk old and my other friend is due in 6 days so been a real cheer up to see them and matthew, my friends lil boy. theyve just poped out to get a couple of dvds to pass the sfternoon.
Its amazing sometimes at how much youd like a holiday from your kids but when it actually comes down to it you miss them like crazy!!!

I few weeks ago I slipped and landed on my knee and hands....I could not feel the baby move for a day and half. I freaked out because I knew I did not hurt the baby....But as paranoid as I am, I rushed to the doctors.
It took her a while to find the heartbeat but she said the baby's back is facing my tummy and that's why I cant feel it move. I tell you what for a moment I was like "oh my GOD".
I am glad the baby is moving around.

babys been on a mission 2day dosnt seem like iy wants to be still, i have my scan tomorrow and im hoping that we can find out the sex... im getting excited, Ive got a couple coming in 2day to buy one of my puppys, will be sad cause that will be two gone, boo hoo i didnt realise id get so attached to them, ive named them all and they all ome to there names, they are so ute i just want to keeo them all, lol, God im so frustrated being stuck to the couch, im really worried about putting alot of weight on, im generally an active person, but I went from 57kgs to 99kgs with Caleb from being on steriods, My avergae weight now is about 69kgs, I was really tiny before I had Caleb, Im at the right weigh for my height and age, so far in my preg ive onlg gained 2kgs, im scared of my bum spreading lol from sitting on it all day...
am i just being silly? Im ok with it because at the end of it ill have my long wanted baby, but because im a bit older now im worried i wont bounce back ever...
Gosh enough ramble from me just nice to have somewhere to put my thoughhts with understanding people

You must agree tho that it is better when the baby moves around...than has no movement.
My baby girl is just driving me up the wall....she is kicking me (or punching) all over. I felt funny at the top corner of my tummy....as soon as I put my hand there I felt a bump (I wonder if it was a hand or a foot?)! And she decided that its time too move on....how exciting!!!!
Okay enough of my blah blah.

hey, I had a four hour labour - pretty good for first bubba and posterior. I had stitches. I honestl;y have a low tolernace for pain, but didn't notice the stitches AT ALL, either during, or after....they dissolved and I didn't notice. So although those words sound scary, they really aren't that bad!
ooh, and I loive the name noah...Hubba doesn't though. after I suggested it, he went around humming "the animals go marching in two by two" or whatever that song is.

Hes absolutly gorgeous, i convinved my man to take me ap and see him yesterday, MM I liked the name Noah but we drew straws and if she had a boy she got first dibs on the name.. he looks just like his dad. And my other friend had stsitches and was a nightmare but she got a few and had piles, couldnt pee or poo comfortably for ages, poor girl, and she said her stitches felt really tight, mt SIL had stitches and had no worries, Just like i had a c section and was in so much pain couldnt stand or walk properly for weeks but most people i know where fine aftre them, i guess it depends on who stitches you up and how capable they are..

My mum had a bicornate uterus, basically her uterus almost separated into two halves, and joined at the bottom of the uterus.
I had to have a scan after she had her hysterectomy a few years back, to see if I had the same, but all looked ordinary with me.
|
Posted By: Bombshell
Date Posted: 05 August 2006 at 7:03am
Mine isnt separated - thats an even rarer form of what i have apparently. I also have to be checked to see if i have two kidneys as apparently (the guy scanning told me this - i didnt google) that often it goes hand in hand to only have one kidney
yeah my mum doesnt sound like she had it nor my grandmother - yet my aunty does sound like she had it = she had a still born breech baby - but back then they never knew of course - and she couldnt (or wouldnt) have more children after that. Funny but i have taken after her in somany ways all my life but i know this is one thing she wouldnt have wanted me to follow her in.
Ive pmed judith and am hoping brianna was the successful baby.

Hi Bombshell, have you searched to check her other posts? I did a quick search and there is a post from 25-Nov-05
"Briannah arrived 7days ago, wed 16th @2.49pm by emergency c-section, I managed to make 33weeks, she is the total opposite of Caleb, shes happy and healthy, born weiging 4lb 13oz, was taken off all monitors today, she just has a feeding tube in... we are hoping we wil have her home before xmas, which it looks like she may be hm in 3weeks. I wont be on much as im staying in the hospital with her until she comes home"
There are a few other posts bout you may have read them already so I won't post...

Can you take some time off work? I know it sounds drastic, but that's often the first thing they tell you to do when you are a high risk preg.
I should take my own advice tho.... I was told to give up already...
