When are your children too heavy to carry? I was carrying Hannah today and her present weight made me almost lose my balance and my toe slammed into the (open) door I was going to pass! She's nearing 15kg and that's over 20% of my own weight!!

Kobe is 18kg and always wants to be carried. I try to say no but when he says 'I want cuddles mummy' and turns on the sad puppy dog face its hard to say no. But he really is to big to be carried.

piggy back! I can get Jakes 18kg up like that and carry for a reasonable length of time before I feel vertebrae clicking out of place.

I carry Paris every once and a while, she's exactly on 15 kg. mike can't really carry her.. she's about a kilo off being half of his current weight. lol

Andrew is 16.7 (he got weighed yesteray) and wants to be carried sometimes. I got away with not carrying him when I was pregnant and now Josh is here he thinks I can carry him again. I do tell him I can pick him up but not for long. He is usually happy with the cuddles and then down again.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I don't usually carry Hannah but she has been trying to escape timeout! Briona still likes to be carried, and it's kind of special when we all go out and I can carry her if DH has Krystiana. But she's only 2.2kg lighter - in saying that, it's harder to carry Hannah because she's taller.

yeah it's their darn lanky legs that get in the way when you try to walk... seriously puts your centre of gravity out!

my heavy little girl is 14kg but I actually have no troubles lifting her really and Im 39wks pregs (prob shouldnt be lifting her lol).
haleigh doesnt get carried as much though cause she likes to walk and get herself around but jsut with things like getting her to timeout while shes tantruming or gettign ehr into the bath and in and out of the car she still needs lifting.

Han still wants to be carried a lot... and when walking to and from the bus stop I get frustrated at 'toddler pace' so usually pick her up to get home faster. I now have an insanely strong left arm. But she's getting stupidly heavy now and no amount of weight training is going to enable me to carry her for long periods.

So yeah... very close to being too big!
