I have a colleague who is writing a story on baby names, and she's interested to know how/why people chose their babies names, and what resources they used (books, websites etc.)
So how did you choose your baby's name?

Fay is named for my favourite character in my favourite book- Morgan Le Fay from Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley but I don't like the name Morgan so chose the Fay part instead. I like the fact it means fairy in French too, as she did look a bit like apixie when she was born and was all scrawny and had really "old" knowing eyes.
Neil doesn't know this he just liked the name cos he could spell it

Samuel is named after Samuel Vimes the Watch Commander from the Terry Pratchett Discworld series of books.
The two/three latest books that have Samuel Vimes in them talk about how he has a son called Samuel.
These books are a particular favourite of mine and DPs, and we really like the name so that's his name!
Also, Sam turned into a kneeling breech and when I had a scan at 38 weeks it showed his hands up by his face in a praying position. It turns out Samuel means 'Heard by god' and I really think it's something special.
Oh Oh I have more to add! Sams middle name is Lee, which is my fathers first name and my mothers middle name. They are divorced so I thought it would be a nice way of including them both.

We named Isla because it was the first name we found that we both agreed on! Looked online at baby name sites, scrutinised cast lists on TV programmes and movies, every time someone new got introduced to us we'd look at each other like 'what do yout think of that name?'
We went to see the movie Wedding Crashers and noticed Isla Fisher in the credits (red-headed aussie actress, played the crazy sister). Really liked the name and it kind of stuck. Nothing overtook it. Isla's middle name is both my middle name (family name) and DH's mum's first name, so that was easy!

Xanthe Dawn - was named after Xanthe White, the nz gardener who at the time was on the tv show groundforce. she was blonde and according to dh "hot" so he agreed. i thought she was the type of woman i want my girl to be - strong, feminine and making a name for herself. Dawn is a family name that me, my mum, and her mum all have, so is pretty special.
Jordis Lilly - was named after Jordis Unga from the tv show rockstar inxs (see the pattern here????) when dh and i were on our honeymoon we talked about baby names and came up with jordis as our girl name. we never got round to a boy name. Jordis Unga is also a woman i would like my girl to be like - strong, funky and fearless. and i decided on lilly as it goes beautifully with jordis and is also a nickname of mine, so she has something from me too.
Both times i knew what my girls names would be, i had picked xanthe years before i had a baby. i had also picked my boys name (HAHA from a MOVIE character!) but as we are stopping i wont get to use it. maybe i should use it on a dog

Michael chose paris, he assures me it is not after paris hilton thank god although paris loves it every time paris hiltons name is mentioned.. i hate that she loves that silly bimbo so much! and Her second name Harmony just seemed right.. again insisted upon my mike. and well it works.
ayja i liked but knew we'd get stick for having 2 kids with names of places.. lol first saw the name on treasure island (aja rock) but looked up the meaning and that spelling was hindu for goat.. so i changed it to be more like the other spellings that mean woman... ha ha, will never mean lady though.. Ayja is definately not a lady! her second name i really liked for ages, have no idea why.. i did have a friend called nicole when i was little but that wasn't the reason.. it had originally gone with the girls name i liked eden nicole.. but eden was scrapped and ayja was chosen after many many combinations and many comments by the MIL each time mike told her.. i got really angry and told him to stop telling her our names cos she kept ruining them!
and sage.. is a name we have always liked knew a guy named sage back when me and mike first got together and we have both loved that name,
the other name we like is peyton.. which can be a girls or boys name.. am hoping we get to use is, but also am trying to persuade mike into maybe if the next one is a girl.. calling it Veda Jasmine.. another name i love.

DW and I made lists. We went through the name book we have (The Name Book by Dorothy Astoria) and we made a separate list each. We didnt look at each other's list. But choosing each kids' names have been different processes each time.
DW and I believe in God, and so put a lot of stock in Him supplying us a name. (God of the Bible, Jesus His Son etc...) We also put a lot of stock on the meanings of names. I know what my ones mean and for me it's been a blessing in my life. I won't speak for DW but I think she feels the same.
1st: Hannah Abigail
Gracious/Compassionate, My Father rejoices/Cherished of God.
We did our list thing. One night I sat bolt upright in the middle of the night from a dead sleep and said "Hannah Abigail" then feel back asleep. I told DW what had happened (or something...she might have told me... can't remember all that well. I DO remember sitting bolt upright.) We checked and found that Hannah, and Abigail was on both our lists. Then we found out what they meant. We liked the meanings so it stuck.
2nd: Briona Stacey Ruth
Mighty/God's Power Resurrection/Strengthened Companion/Faithful
DW had a feeling that bub would be strong and faithful. so this time, (and I can never remember who did what at this stage) So we did the list thing again. I searched for the names that meant those and DW searched for the names based on if it 'tasted' right or fit the baby. (or vice-versa, I'll ask DW to correct me) I was wanting an unsual name like Oni (based off one of my fav playstation games.) DW was having NONE OF THAT THANK YOU VERY MUCH! We compared lists again, and this time they were very different. We combined our lists to a single list of 'names on both lists' All three names were on both lists so that was interesting. We chose first name. then second. then DW pointed out that bub's initials spells B.R.A. She was adamant that we put another name in there. I didn't see the problem with the first spelling. but she won .... So we put Stacey in there as well, since it was on both lists and kinda meant strength. aaaahhh fun.
3rd: Krystiana Elise
Follower of Christ/Joyful Oath of God/Dedicated
DW felt that bub would be a "bringer of Joy" This time we did the list thing but it was reversed. Whoever did the feeling/tastes right last time, swapped into the meaning this time and vice-versa.
Actually after saying all that, I think we used a different name book because the some of the meanings aren't the same as what I remember them meaning when we chose the names. I'll ask DW to confirm all this stuff. But that's basically (or not) our process for getting names. It's usually based on the feeling of what this child will be (and that is usually from DW.) We pick about an even number for boys and girls put it on a list and compare.
Interestingly, I don't think we planned it but all our girls first names so far, end in "a" at the end. And on a final side note, ALL the girls have lived up to their names. Hannah is very gracious, graceful and compassionate. She's very kind and gentle. Briona is quite strong willed (dear God what have we done?!?! but shes very loyal too. I've personally seen God work through her life, and I know "God's mighty power" is at work in her every day. She could've easily died at birth. We had to have an emergency Ceasarean ( i think it was Briona, I'll ask DW to confirm.)
Krys's probably a bit too young to see her personality come through, but she's certainly brought me joy.)

Our names we picked have absolutely no centimental or actually any kind of meaning to us at all! We basically spent all of both pregnancies throwing names out there and then stopped when we came up with a few of each sex we liked- when the girls were both born we just used which one we thought suited them best.
We got inspiration from everything, books, TV credits etc- Charlotte was born the year Hurricane Charlotte happened and I have no idea where Kate came from but its a name I have always liked and we think it goes well with Charlotte as they are both quite traditional nice girly names
We wanted either a 1 or 3 syllable middle name for Charlotte- Kate didn't seem right and I wanted Emily but DH didn't like it. We thought Olivia flowed well and we both had it on our shortlists for girls names anyway. With Kates middle name (I HATE to admit this) but we watched big brother when we first got over here and there was a girl called Imogen on it- she sung this radio jingle where she chanted her name and it got stuck in my head for days and made the name really grow on me. We gave Charlotte the choice of 3 girls names to pick from when Kate was born (Kate, Imogen and Isobel)- she picked Lucy But we eventually managed to get her to pick one and we had always decided if she picked Kate her middle name would be Imogen.
ETA: Totally nothing against the name Lucy! I just read through it and thought it could be taken the worng way- it just wasn't one of our 'chosen' names.

We choose Cooper after hearing it on a movie and deciding that it was a good "University name"! (I have high hopes for my future son!)
With "Coop" as the nick name.
And we are big NRL fans, and there is a prominant player by DH and I like, Cooper Kronk. So now everytime we hear it it cements the name a bit more.

Alyssa, Its Italian, thought it was pretty. And none of the 1500 children on our role was called Alyssa, so i didnt have a bias towards it either way. I thought Faith went well with it.
Jayde Loved the Name, and it had to have a "Y". And her middle name Mia because its Italian it also means mine and a shortend version of Maria.

Jake was named after jake on the Blues Brothers. Was going to be Jake Elwood, but we changed our minds. His middle name is walter which is from my deceased grandfather.
taine is from Taine randell - neither of us huge fans but like the name and his middle name is Jason, from Lewis' best mate
we went through loads of baby books, and while I was preggers with Jake the olympics were on, so my gf was constantly sending "helpful suggestions"
If b3 is a girl (whenever we decide to do a b3) we'll probably all her Leah Mei (mei is from the bnestest kids movie in the world - My neighbour Totoro), and if a boy, perhaps Luke or Lucas (NOT from home and away -stupid programme stealing my baby names)

Chovynz, wow you guys really thought hard about your names and what they mean....beautiful choices too by the way.. I wondered where they came from as they are a little different (in a good way).
DF and I have chosen family names for our "Peanut". If it is a boy we have gone with DF's middle name andmy fathers middle name. If it is a girl we have my nana's first name and his mums middle name. Its still a bit of a secret until bubs is born. They are all "normal" names with normal spellings but they are also names that have stayed in the family over the generations as we think it is important to have some link to your past.
Mind you when bubs arrives it may all go out the window! And unfortunately they are popular names....so stay tuned...6 more weeks to go (I hope)

To be honest did not really like it to start with, but grew on me it is Pete Grandfather's name his middle name is william pete Dad middle name and pete little bro middle name. Michael I chose And Mikey Middle name is Joab pete little bro's first name and Michael is pete's Dad'd first name. Wow that sound's confussing now. For our next baby if it is a boy it will be Henry John after my Dad. and a girl will be Elizabeth Karen. Elizabeth is after our M/W and we love the name and Karen is Pete's mum's middle name.

Brae- is Scottish, meaning Hill or Famous Warrior. Chosen b/c my stomach was the size of a hill, we lived on a hill & the meaning of the town name, near where we lived is "the narrowing of the hills" Random aye?
WE choose Yule as his Second name because of Christmas time, being born xmas eve & it was his great grandmothers(dec.) maiden name.
Kalyx- is a bit more unusual & am not to sure of the origin but thinking its Scottish or more possibly Greek, meaning- part of a flower feminine i know- but meh!!!My natures treasure or gift!! Flowers will start to bloom from now!!
Angelo Is from Angela, my Mother who passed away this time last year.
We used the list method for the first names, where i composed a list of 5 names for DP to choose from. And had them picked just after 20wks, when we knew the sex
Second names were in memory of relatives that recently passed.
I looked in lots of baby name books & Internet.

I chose Christopher when I was a little girl and my grandmother told me the story of St Christopher. I loved the story so much and told everyone that I was going to name my first son Christopher. His second name is George and it is a tradition in my dad's family that the first born son of the first borns second name is George. It's been going for generations in my dad's family.
Noah was the first name that DH and I both agreed on for a son. We looked at the meaning and really liked it (Hebrew for Peaceful) so went with it. Alexander is after hubbys grandfather.

We chose Kobe cos it clicked with both hubby and I. I think I saw it on the news not realising that it was refering to Kobe Bryant the basketball player who was being charged with rape at the time, when I found that out I had second thoughts but then we went on our honeymoon to Oz (yes was pregnant but only just) and there was a girl working at McDonalds with the same name but spelt differently. Hubby and I looked at each at the same time going did you see her name! Thats when we decided it would be Kobe no matter what sex he turned out to be. John is his family middle name.
With Addison I was worried because we had lots of names that one of us really liked and the other just thought was ok so I came onto good old OB and asked everyone and someone (cant remember who it was but hopefully someone here does cos its been annoying me now) suggested Addison. At the time we didnt watch Greys Anatomy so had no idea it was off that but when I suggested it to hubby he loved it too so Addison it was. She was going to be Emma if we couldnt find anything else and it turned out thats family name so used that as a middle name, we werent going to but straight after the birth he said he still wanted the name as a middle one and I was to buggered to disagree. and Kate because its a short version of both hubbys and my mums names.

Lesieli (tongan name) She is named after her paternal grandmother who died of cancer when Lesieli's dad was 12. Lesieli is the first grandchild on her fathers side so was given the name.
Mercedes Manuatele. Mercedes (spanish name) -her dad chose. If she had been a boy then I was going to choose. Manuatele her second name is a tokelauan name. It is a family name that has been pasted down her dad's family for generations.
Alize Fou. Alize (french name) that me and his father chose for either boy of girl back in 2001 and the name stuck. Fou (tokelauan name) is the his fathers first name.

Joshua, I just liked it. his middle name is Blade - this is after a little boy I knew when I was a teenager whose baby bro was called it and always remember the boy say and when he grows up and if he tough they can call him ' razorblade'. I did want Blade as a first name but so glad I didn't as Josh is a gentle soul and would not of suited Blade.
Brooke - her dad thought 'Brooke' off melrose place was Hot and so thats where that came from although I loved the name anyhow Dakota her middle name I heard Melanie Griffin called her daughter that and really liked it. The guy at customs in america commented on her middle name saying what a indian name you have there 'Little Brooke' I though it was funny cause her name means "little River' which so an indian type thing to call someone...
Rhyley - well me and Dh only agreed on this name but how to spell it wasn't decided till about 2 days before he was born... I didn't like any of the other '12' ways to spell it so took a bit from one and the other and came up with this spelling. Ashton - cause I really liked it but not as much as Rhyley and Joseph after my grandad who was an amazing kind man and just thought it was right.
(and if Rhyley was a girl it was going to be Cady (cay-dee) nevaeh - cady cause I liked it and Nevaeh cause I liked the fact that it was Heaven spelt backwards.

Hubby bought me a babybook full of names for one of my birthdays and after some mc's. He told me straight out that our dream will come true and you can start looking for names.
He also gave me a charm for my bracelet with a highchair on it.
We both wanted a really sweet innocent name. We went through the book and there is several we liked. We actually shouted names out to see if it is easy to pronounce when we are angry. Otherwise I see I would get even more angry if I cant pronounce the name.
Dont know how we decided on McKayla. We did decide on the spelling through out the pregnancy. And the first time I saw my girl I knew the name McKayla suited her.
Other names is Issabella (love that name hubby is not that keen.) Silvana. Second name would have been Issabella but one day hubby said what about Shirley. (after my grandma) So although her passport and birth certificate says McKayla Shirena. She is actually McKayla Shirley. Stupid SA mixed up names on the birth records.
We already have a boy name for when we have a boy next and so far our list is the names above for a girl. And hubby likes Rebecca (I am not that fond of the name) And both of us like Annabelle.

Andrew: Was the only name that me and DH could agree on once he was here. We had no idea what we were having thou I was sure I was having a boy. John: Is my dad's middle name and as my maiden name is not going to be continued on (mum and dad only had girls) I wanted something from my dad to continue. According to my family in OZ I named Andrew after the Newcastle and NSW halfback Andrew Johns. It didn't even cross my mind when we named him. My dad did meet up with Matty (Andrew's brother) in OZ and told him what we had done and he loved it.
Joshua: I had my heart set on calling Andrew Josh but as I had been working with a guy Josh and him and DH didn't see eye to eye I couldn't. We had a number of names but when he came out he didn't look like any of them I suggested Joshua and there was no going back. Gareth: Is one of DH's middle names and therefore I thought it was nice for him to have that.
I did hear from my SIL that her dad was disapointed that we didn't give Andrew the family name (its a dutch name and I can't even spell it). My response to that was it was passed down to his eldest son therefore he passes it down not us as we weren't given the name. MIL was fine with us not using it for that reason.

Ashlee Jade - my mum's middle name is Lee, and my sister is Haylee so I thought I'd continue it along with Ashlee. That, and it was one of only a couple of names that DH and I both agreed on! Jade, well, because DH and I both agreed on that too and think it flows nicely. DH likes the fact that he can call her AJ for short.
I have no idea what we'll come up with for the second baby. My 'favourites' list is always changing! I've enjoyed reading through this thread

Well Kahtrell's name was chosen from a names website. Through my whole pregnancy we were told we were having a girl, it wasn't til I was 38 weeks that there was a possibility baby was actually a boy, so we actually had no name for baby when he was born. DP has his laptop with him while I was in hospital (as he had a long wait..got there at 8am, baby wasn't born til 00:58am the next day!) and so he made a list of names (I think this was when I was in recovery, or some time later that morning. ) and we both liked Kahtrell. Very unique!, I don't think there'll be many Kahtrells in the country lolz. His middle name is David, which is the english translation of his father's middle name, which is Rawiri (maori).

We decided that we wanted a name that could be shortened - Harrison could be Harry and Alexander could be Alex. I never imagined that I would call Harrison Harry but the shorter version just seemed to fit him so much more. We accessed web sites and books, made a list, shortened it and then looked at what the meaning was.
I wanted my maiden name as Harrys middle name which DH was not keen about but understood why so agreed (doesn't look like my brother is going to have kids so I wanted to name to be somewhere)

Conor Alexander - I worked with a guy who's last name was Connor, but I didn't like the spelling, so hunted around until I found the Celtic spelling, so he was Conor from around 8wks pg. Also at the time, I liked the movie The Highlander and the main character was "Conor Mcleod", so that kind of reinforced my decision on the spelling. His middle name is my granddad's middle name, my grandma died before he was born and I wanted to do something to honour her..
Nyah Zoe - Thandie Newton played Nyah in Mission Impossible 2. Saw the name come up on the screen and said to hubbie, now that's a cool name. Zoe was our back up first name if for some reason we decided against Nyah. That didn't happen of course.
Bump - well he'll either be Cooper or Nixon. No reasoning behind choosing these names, just found them in a baby book.

Rico Mikaere Kiriwai - Dh thought of Rico back in the late '90's when we were still only boyfriend/girlfriend. He got it from the country Puerto Rico. Mikaere is maori for Michael which is Dh's first name even though he's known by his 2nd name. And Kiriwai is also Dh's 2nd middle name & a family name so dh wanted it to be kept in the family. We heard once Rico was born that it also means "Rich" in spanish.

Ruby was on my list too, Anna!
Grace was a given as our daughter's middle name - it's DH's grandma's name, and I love it. There's heaps of beautiful girl's names I liked, but none the same as the ones DH liked - Ella was the only one we agreed on. Everyone thought it was because we are both jazz fans (think Fitzgerald), but we just love the name. And she really suits it.
If we ever have a boy, he'll be given a first name I've had chosen for him since I was a teen. DH didn't love it straight away but it's grown on him some, and one day he made a trade - he can buy whatever speakers in whatever size he likes for his new sound system when he gets one, and I can have my name! Sweet deal!

Jack was our back up name, it was the only one we both agreed on but I really wanted Jackson but Ben said no. The midwife who delivered him was called Jaquie so it just seemed to fit.
Keith because its my Dads name.
Ben came up with Caprece and I looked it up in the name book and saw it was Italian and since she wouldn't be having my Italian last name I likes that she would have something Italian. Turns out Ben got Caprece from his favourite car, it was either that or Manaro (I have no idea how to spell that and I said no way to that).

I had a million different names for a boy but of course, I had a girl. Since then I've found heaps of girls names I like... Elise is one of them. It's beeeautiful. Clea is also another favourite but I'd not like another kiddo with an 'ah' at the end. (No offense Teresa and Chovy ) I also like Lucy. Anyway, murphy's law dictates that I'll have 10 boys.

Maya Grace Te Irirangi Marama - A few days after the scan where we found out she was a girl, I woke up and suddenly *knew* that her name was Maya. Inspired by my biggest influence as a writer, Maya Angelou, a strong, proud women who is all the qualities I want my daughter to inherit. Grace coz I liked it and thought it sounded good with Maya (her full first name is Maya Grace) and Willie picked Te Irirangi Marama which is a Ratana church name and means "the place where heaven and earth meet".
Sienna Marie Anahera Jayde - Willie had already picked Mercedes name, and I was looking for another girls name and I kept coming back to Sienna. I first saw it years ago when a woman on the Huggies forum had a daughter called Eilish Sienna which I thought was really pretty, and it helped that I've been to Siena in Italy and it is a beautiful place. I did sacrifice a friendship over that name (those of you who have been around long enough will remember the drama) but I just felt so strongly that was her name. Marie is my sister's middle name, and also after my Mum who's middle name is Mary, Anahera is Maori for angel and is the name we gave the baby we lost just before I got pregnant with the gremlins, and I just liked the name Jayde, and it made her name flow better. Tossed up whether to spell it Jayde or Jade and in the end went with the Y as I love Maria's wee Jayde
Mercedes Kailah Waimarie Faith - The day after we found out the gremlins were girls, Willie told me he had a name for one of them. When he told me it was Mercedes, coz he drives a Mercedes truck, I said "no freaking way". But it grew on me, and it suited her stubborn nature even before she was born. What sold me on it was that it means "in honour of the virgin Mary" which I think is beautiful. Kailah my Mum picked when she was desperately trying to convince me not to call her Mercedes, she wa served by a girl with the name Kailah on her name tag at breakfast one morning, and rang me up to tell me she liked it. Waimarie is the Maori name we picked for her which means peaceful waters, and Faith is just a name I like, altho now that Ang (my boss) has Ella Grace and Eva Faith Willie reckons we should charge her a commission on their middle names since we had them both first

Harlan Drew - My DH and I made a list. I have always liked Drew, not sure why. I was looking through the baby names book and came across Harlan. Did not say anything to DH and when we compared notes, we both had Harlan. We did not want a family name, as we wanted to be different. Harlan was meant to have Harlan as a first name, but be called Drew, as Drew Harlan did not sound right, but that has'nt happened.
We also did'nt relise until after Harlan was born that all three boys end in "an" how canny is that?!!

We looked through heaps of baby books and spent most of our time looking at girls' names for some reason (didn't know what we were having). At end of pregnancy we made a list each of names we liked and Kaleb was on both - we didn't know how we were going to spell it, with a C or K(both our names start with K) but decided we liked it with a K better (personal opinion only ) even though we'd be the 3K's. We always had Bevan as a middle name after my mum whose name was Beverley Ann.
It has been really interesting reading how/why people got their names!

Long winded version!! (haha)
I spent sooo long looking for the perfect girls name when I was first pregnant as I was absolutely positively carrying a girl, I could TASTE it. I made lists and lists and LISTS! It was really difficult too as Hubby wasn't interested because it was too early and he veto'd all of the names that I like. I think what made it even worse was that I went to an all girls school so there wasn't much to choose from. Just before my anatomy scan I had a frightening thought that I might be having a boy. I'd had my heart set on having a girl for so long that I was scared that I wouldn't love my baby as much if I had guessed wrong. So I quickly made some boys lists, Hubby was much more responsive to this and we got the name Samuel Alexander. The anatomy scan was mostly inconclusive and the USS person couldn't see much so we had to go back a few weeks later. She said that if she had to guess, she would say we were more likely to have a girl. I was REALLY surprised as we had the boys name and LOL oh well... back to girls names!!
I had terrible anxiety when I was pregnant - over my pregnancy, so I took to reading lots off books. I think I read everything we had in the place and I came across Caitlin in a teen romance novel. A young girl who was trying to make up for all the horrible things that had happened (it was a series but I only had the last book).I suggested it to Hubby only to get VETO'd! But it would make an ok middle name.
hmmmmm
So the hunt was on for the perfect first name, I think I was trying to look along the lines of normal but not popular (LOL even though both names made top 10 in NZ last year). And Olivia was one of the few I liked, Hubby wasn't that keen on Olivia but it grew on him as Olivia Caitlin. And that is what she became at about 27 weeks pregnant. From then on I *knew* I was having a girl, but quietly optimistic rather than painting the room pink IYKWIM. When she was born I didn't get around to calling her by her name till she was about 2 weeks old. I filled in all her birth registration documents and everything, she WAS Olivia but she was not. She was mine, precious, my love, bubbah, darling, honey, everything but and then I just whispered it to her one day that I should start calling her by her name and she has *looked* like Olivia Caitlin from that day on!!

Ours isn't born yet, but we have Ava (no middle name yet) for a girl, and possibly Jack for a boy.
Ava because I've loved it ever since Reese Witherspoon called her daughter that (so about 7 years its stuck with me).
I've always liked Jackson, but figured I would call my child Jack anyway so why not just have that. It's the only name (of a shortlist of about 50) that DH hasn't vetoed!

We did the whole 'make a list and pick' thing for the first names. For Bay DH and i just couldnt agree on a name!! (i wanted fraser or taine) then i was talking to my sis about names and she said that she was going to call her son (if he was a girl) Baylie Amber (after me ) so i put the name to DH and he actually liked it!!.....although everyone always assumes that it was the way Bay was concieved!!! (drunk on Baileys!) but NO! as DH both dont drink!. Bays middle names are Wayne after DHs dad and Duncan after my mums father who passed away when mum was 14 and he was a builder like DH with much the same personality as DH.
Astin just came to me one night in bed and DH didnt like it but i let him choose Astins middle name which is Luke after DHs best friend (his name is jason luke but jason sounded funny with Astin and luke just flowed) and Jason is also our boys godfather
DH still moans that Bay has too many names! lol so Astin only has one and considering our last name is long i guess im ok with that!
My sis told me the other day that she thinks i should change Astins name cos everyone she tells seems to think it sounds ponsy!!??? - Master Astin Erdbeer! LOL!!...whoops! off the subject! lol
