am i totally neurotic or is it plain craziness to paint your baby - the same age as Gabriella - as in paint her toenails bright fire engine red with polish!!!!
Just got sent photos from another mummy in another country (not this site!!!) whose bubba was born same day as Ella and she has painted the babies toes to match hers...
OMFG!!!!!!!

Nope I agree I wouldn't be painting nails at that age either.

It would be cute to see, if not a little strange but personally, it would not even cross my mind to paint a 3-4 month old's toenails!!!

Haha funny, how on earth would you get the baby to stay still without kicking her feet? Stuff doing it while they're asleep! I painted Hannah's toenails the other week for the first time ever LOL

Maya likes having her nails painted, but at Gabriella's age? Nuh-uh!
I agree with Teresa - how did they get her to keep her feet still? I have enough trouble just trying to trim the gremlins fingernails!

Good heavens above! I'd think a mum with a young baby would have enough on her plate without burning time trying to paint a wrigglers toe nails! (Although, talking about matching - I thought I did very well matching Gabriella's outfit yesterday ... )

My niece's mum used to do it to my niece when she was a baby, i always thought it looked silly and their nails are so tiny anyway its hardly worth doing!

I never considered doing it but dont find it that weird either again. Some people dress their kids up like little, how can I say this politely, ladies of the night ect. I guess to each his own.
But wont be doing it on my girl however. I did do her pinkie the other day when I did mine and she was curious. She walked around the house showing everyone.

I think my sis might have done it when Hannah was younger for a laugh... or maybe it was me...?? Anyway, it was only a boredom induced baby makeover.. maybe that woman was the same?
Hannah asks for her nails painted when she sees me doing mine (well, painting my fingers really as there are no nails there! - clear polish stops me from biting them as much)

Maya asks my sister to "chick-chick" her eyebrows (pluck them) so Claire pretends to and makes sound effects. Was hilarious when Maya was smaller and used to pick up the tweezers and try and do her own "chick chicks".
One of the suggestions from multiple birth club for telling the girls apart was to put nail polish on one of them's little finger/toe, but we decided to stick with the ID bracelets.

Hannah asked me to pluck her eyebrows the other day... so I pulled out a hair. She wasn't that keen after that! hehe

ewhen i was in Japan, i would see little girls come in for lesson - two and three years old, with dyed hair (to match mummy), and high heels!!!!!!!! painted nails etc. I never saw any fake nails, but maybe that was for when they were the grand age of four. i don't know. I hate the trend to sexualise little kids. I know that what you are talking b aout is just nail polish, but is still creeps me out.
(jake is wearing chanel maroon nail polish on his (spotty) toes as I type)

I would worry about the nail polish being toxic and seeping into babies blood system or something (hehehehehe PARANOID!) Joey had his painted by my mum a few months ago but he was a lot older then.
