Hi all
Was perusing the greenbeans website and saw the DIY pocket kits and wondered what FOE means? I know that it stand for Fold Over Elastic but I am not sure what that actually looks like. Is it more like a Fuzzi elastic or a Tweedle/Baby Harmony elastic?
Thanks

its not like fuzzis - fuzzi elastic is in the nappy and not seen but the FOE goes on the outside ...
if you look in the "Your creations gallery" on the greenbeans site they have a few pics of some made up.

The nappies my mum made had the FOE with the kit and she used it in the inside and they are fine. She found the FOE eaier to use in the inside.

Have you tried using the nappies Becks? I was worried that the FOE might leave red marks on thighs.

Yep i've used them on him a couple of times and no red marks but it is inside so not directly on his skin. The way my mum made the nappies they are very much like tweedles.

If it's your first time making nappies I'd recommend the standard pockets then trying the FOE ones. FOE does look pretty cool though!

I found they do take a little bit of practice but can be quite rewarding. I just don't have that much patience...I tend to get bored after the 2nd nappy!

I'm sure ya can Leish! If you need to, I'm sure there'll be someone on the Nappy Network who could show ya how.
I really must learn how to make nappies now that I have the machines! Just need to get fabric... Maybe when I've finished studying. Don't need another way to procrastinate!
