Does anyone else have HUGE battles everytime they have to change their babies nappy?!? My independent strong willed little person would much prefer to roll off. He gets so determined and to get him to lie there is a huge mission. Have tried changing them with him sitting up but can never get them on properly.
Any tips?

One of my DDs was huge on rolling. I used to lay her on the floor for changing, then put my legs straight out to lay over her arms. She couldn't get anywhere after that and I could get the nappy change over and done with for her. A friend of mine has started doing this with her 1yo boy and it works a treat there too.

Yeah we have big battles too. I just try and give her a toy that will amuse her for a minute or so. I have found her sippy cup of water good aswell and she knows she has to lie on her back to get any water out

What a great idea Kelly. I might have to try that with Alize as he is just starting to fuss around at nappy change.

I do the same as busymum, legs strait out in front, pinning his arms out strait so he cant move, he screams, but he screams anyway, so at least its over and done with pretty quick this way.

i give Rhyley the pot of nappy cream - with lid on of cause. gives me enough time to get the nappy on. Dh hasn't mastered the art of putting nappy on when hes wiggling and trying to roll over - he always ends up yelling for me to come 'help' lol

oh I hope he doesn't get the lid off - I will have to find something else - he likes the powder bottle but its huge and so makes him wriggle more.

I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling when it comes to nappy time lolz. Kahtrell is always wriggling around and rolling onto his sides. As soon as I get his bum down on a new nappy he's got it up in the air again!!. Oh the joys lolz.

Thanks Guys!!!!
The toy one used to work but doesn't anymore. I like the sound of the arms pinned down trick!!!!
Will try that tomorrow.

I read this last night and thought "yeh, that won't hold Caitlin down!" seems I under estimated the weight of my thighs (don't know if that's a good thing or not!!? LOL) but anyways it worked, so thanks Teresa
