I am really impressed with this stuff. The first time I tried it, I thought it sucked, but after I heard something and re-read the instructions (and yes they do say to dissolve the powder first), I now have a heap made up in an old milk bottle in the laundry and have started using it on my FB. It's great! Just 3 washes later and I've noticed a huge difference in the lingering odors from the nappy inserts (I had already changed to Persil, done a couple of strips, done hot washes... and my DH was complaining about the smell and nothing changing ).
So big ups to ecostore washing powder!

youre meant to dissolve it first???? I havent read the instructions. I love it too. I used it for a while and then thought "nah I dont need this" and went back to something else. I hated it and felt I was using SOOOOO much powder and I think it made me itchy. I bought more ecostore as I wanted to wash some baby things and I am happy again!

I've just brought some ecostore, but I can't see where they say you should dissolve it first?

I have just checked my pack (haven't even used it yet) and it just says "Don't put powder directly onto clothes", so I guess you could have to dissolve it first?
My free sample that I got in the ReachMe pack says on the back "Always dissolve powder before adding clothes"
Guess I better try and see what happens...

We chucked our box out so looked on one in supermarket but couldn't find where it said to dissolve it - we just put the scoop down centre of washing machine so its not directly on clothes. Where do you put it when its in a liquid form-in the fabric softner dispenser?

I have an old washing machine so I just put it where the powder would usually go, ie in the dispenser on top where the water pours into.
When I make up a bottle, I put 50/50 powder and cold water. The eco scoop is equal to a half surf/persil scoop so once made up with water, a persil scoop = 1 full load. One thing I learnt though is to never have the bottle more than 1/2 full or it becomes a mini explosive device
