After waiting for about 25 minutes for a handful of cauli to cook over a pot of boiling water, I'm thinking of getting one? Should I or a waste of money which would be better off spent on more cool printed nappies??

We have a rice cooker/steamer (thats what you mean aye?), and to be honest it takes ages to steam the veges. But I dont like them crunchy, so I cook til they are a little bit soft. Oh and I dont like rice out of it either - too sticky. Lucky we got it as a wedding pressie

We have an electric steamer, but to be honest I don't use it much as it is a pain to have to clean and pack away all the time, unless you have room to leave it out on your bench all the time. And it takes up quite a bit of room in the cupboard as well. I got a Tefal one with my Fly Buy points. I don't actually think it is that much faster than steaming them conventially.

I hadn't thought of using the rice cooker. You are right though, having to have it out on the bench and having to clean it would suck! I accidentally boiled the pot dry last night oops!! Just a wee bit black!
Think maybe I should just try and be patient.
Thanks for the advice

I do all of my veggies in the microwave - i put them in a bowl/plate with a tablespoon of water and cover it wiht glad wrap - it takes about 4 mins for a whole brocolli (cut of course).

Of course there is some talk that microwaving vegetables can cause some vitamins to be lost but i'm lazy and it works quick haha.
