Hi everyone
I was just wondering at what age people have stopped using safety sleeps. Ollie is eight and a half months and is now rolling around in it at night - no matter how tightly I do it up. He then starts crying and when I go in he is on his tummy pushed up on his hands stuck.
Last night I had to go in at one and then at three to turn him around.
I would love to keep him in it for longer so that he doesn't move all around his cot and whack his head on the sides etc.
What have other people done?

Isla is still being wrapped as well as in safety sleep. Im pretty sure mothercraft advacate using safety sleeps and lying baby on belly to sleep, at this age. Kelpa will prob have more info on that.

James is also still wrapped and in his safety sleep too. My friend stopped using hers when her daughter was about 10mths old I think.

Sorry not much help.

Alyssa is still happy to be in hers so I'm still using it (she's 1 at the end of this month). I guess I'll keep using it until she starts to dislike it.

Once Erin could roll over inside her safety sleep, and eventually undo it, we switched to a sleep sack that is very similar to a Baby OK - basically a sleeping bag that is attached to the mattress but still allows the baby a fair bit of movement. Once that no longer worked, I just switched to a regular sleeping bag and she has 'free range' in her cot - I put a cot bumper at one end but she ends up in all sorts of wierd positions anyway !

I stopped using our safety T when rhiannon was about 7mths old. Just found it much easier and didnt have to move her as much, and once she was rolling onto her stomach etc having the safetyT wasnt much help anyway

charli is still fine in hers, she doesn't roll or anything. jack was about 14mths i think when he started to undo the safety sleep and move around in his cot. i just left him to it and covered him up when we went to bed

We used to put Caitlin to bed in her SS and then before we went to bed if she was on her tummy we'd un-do it. When she started spinning around in it and it used to ride up under her chin then it became a danger so we took it off altogether. That was at about 9mths and she's now just in a normal sleep sack and like Jax'sw daughter, she ends up all over the cot but doesn't make up

Thanks so much for your help. I will give him a go without it and see how he goes.
Thanks again.
