I'm twenty[mumble].
I was at the hairdresser today and chatting to 'magic hands' the skilled wee soul who gave me a divine scalp massage *sigh* and he was saying that he's quite disturbed at how his life is passing him by ... he's just turned 19! 
I said to him, obviously in my best decrepit granny voice, that I was pushing 30, and THAT was worth panicking about. He looked at me, gave me his best comforting look and said that I didn't look anywhere near 30. One mother trained her boy well! He almost sounded like he meant it!

I'm the winner....I'm 40! DH is 37 and is really pushing his being younger than me....esp since I'm in my 40's.
Don't feel 40 so thats good and still have it in me for one more child (already have two). Not very computer savy so haven't bothered with the tickers |

I did read an article a while back saying that Gen Y females have seen Gen X ones leave having children until quite late and then struggle to concieve so as a generation are having kids much younger. Maybe it is true?

Ok here's some stats so far (as of Busymums post just above.)
Who replied: 55 women replied. 1 man (as far as I know...) The combined age of all women who replied was 1573 The combined age of all men who replied was 26 Score one for the men!!! ;) The average age for women who replied was 28.6 The average age for men who replied was 26 Score two for the men!!! ;) 99.9% of women who replied, speak for their counterparts, or another way to look at it, is 1% of men have the balls to speak up in this forum.
69.09% of the men who didn't reply are younger than their counterparts (counted if supplied.) Score three for the men!!! ;) 65.45% of women who replied are Just hatched 30.91% of women who replied are Spring Chickens. 3.64% of women who replied are Beautiful Beyond Compare 100% of women who replied are younger than 100 years of age, and so still have pretty good prospects. The future is looking bright. The combined age of all women who replied and all men who did & didn't reply is 3222. As we can clearly see from the statistics, the men on the board are doing well. I thought I'd be the oldest here I just turned 38 and DH will be 39 in Sept. You bet me Linda. Oh well I don't mind coming second hehe. Anyway I was closer to the average once, my two older girls are 11 and 9 and Alyssa is 4 months. At least I'll have a live in baby sitter in three years. |

| When I run into old friends they are always shocked that I have a 3yr old, most of them are just returning from thier OE's. I dont feel 28 (almost 29) but I must admit im really struggling with the fact that Im turning 30 next year. For some reason that is a scary age, Im no longer going to be in my 20's and not that I think 30's is old its just well.... its getting old you know. Some of our friends are turning 40 this year and that scares the heck out of me. I still think of my mum as being in her 40's but in reality she is almost 60! |

Btw I am doing this only for fun. I'm not keeping any names. It based on any info posted in this thread. Numbers only. And btw it didn't take me 20 minutes to come up with that. It took me that long to format the damn thing. then i kept spotting things that could be better or shouldn't be in there. I had it in horizontal, decided it wasn't very readable so i changed it to vertical.

im 25 but feel younger, or that could be cos people think im younger cos i look 16.... hardly any of my friends have kids caitlyns age, my best mate has a four year old tho |

I know that feeling Kelly. I am the last of all my friends to have a baby and the youngest of theirs is 4 as well. Most of them have kids in double digits now!
