I agree that is the prettiest mountain, I stayed with some friends in Oakura many years ago when I was here backpacking and I took a picture at 7am and 5pm everyday I was there and everyone is different.
Gorgeous picture, (will get onto my friend about that camera too)

Awww, I feel all nostalgic now! I love the mountain! Reminds me of visiting my nana in NP when we were kids. Altho she had a big freezing old house!

Aaah, that just makes me so much more homesick...can't wait until we move back. Was that taken around Inglewood/Stratford way (just looking at how clearly you can see Phantom's Peak...)??

Ann - I'd love to get back to Eltham. I lived there prior to moving up to Hamilton, working for the solicitor there. Loved the place, felt more like home to me than NP, where I was born and raised. Mum and Dad are in Inglewood though.

LOL I loved Eltham!! It's such a friendly down to earth town, everybody is so great, the ladies at the supermarket get to know you, and the library, and the post office (helped that the couple who owned the post shop were my neighbours but hey!). I lived there from October 04 to January 06 - worked for a guy called Grant Smith, and of course got to know a few more people through working there. I had lived there once before as well, and moved down to Hawera from there (worked in Hawera) but it just wasn't the same.

Awwwwwww.. you are making me homeisck!! I really miss that beautiful view and mountain! I grew up and lived in the naki, Manaia on a dairy farm for 16 years, now living in Christchurch, it's not the same as waking up and looking out the paddock to such a magnificent picture! Coming up in Sep, so will have to lap up the views!
