Kaleb pooed in his cloth nappy for the first time the other day at his granddad's. So the next day I put it in the machine on a rinse cycle then added all wet nappies and did another rinse cycle followed by washing with eco store and canestan in warm water. It still has the pooey (TMI!) stains on it? Am I meant to do something else? I had hoped the sun would help get rid of it but no such luck - should I put it outside again? SOak in nappysan babycare?
Really don't want his lovely new nappy to be ruined forever

If the stains don't come out of mine after being in the sun I soak in Nappisan for a couple of hours and that seems to work.

BTW it sounds like you did everything sometime those stains can be a bit stubborn.

It sounds like you are doing it all right..

One thing though, thanks to busymum's thread a few days back you are meant to dissolve the ecostore powder before using (as in the instructions which I never read) and since doing that my inserts aren't staining at all. Just something to think of if you aren't doing that.

Interesting that you mention it being in the instructions Stacey, I just checked the box and all it says is to use the machine's powder dispenser and not to put it directly onto the clothes.

The other thing you could try Faraway is using the EcoStore Pure Oxygen Whitener, either as a soak or just in with the regular powder.
