nope!!!

so have you looked up what a leo baby is now....???

here you go -

The Leo Baby is, above all else, loud! Forget sleep for the foreseeable future, Mom and Dad. This is a baby who must be heard and will certainly let everyone in their midst know what they want. Think center of attention, since there really is no other way for this tot! With a Leo baby as part of the plan, family life will revolve around this magnetic child. The Leo baby adores an audience, so it should come as no surprise that many of these tots go on to become stars of stage and screen. This babe is auditioning early on! To that end, this is a child who is also competitive, so maybe they are prepping for that dog-eat-dog Hollywood whirl from day one. When in a play group or any social situation, the Leo baby will make friends easily and will thrive on the interaction, since being on-stage is where they're at. Even so, they will have a hard time sharing things, such as roles, responsibilities, and even toys. The King (or Queen) of everything they see, they will be the one making the rules, after all. To sum up, the Leo baby is the leader of the pack, loads of fun, and will expect to live in the most comfortable of kingdoms. Pity the parent who won't play along!

Well, was due on the 19th July and am still hanging in there. I texted you this morning and let you know that maybe I was expecting to hear from the monitoring foetal yada yada people at waikato hospital, and blow me down if they don't ring at 9:30 this morning ... for a 10:30 appointment.

Posted By: Bombshell
Date Posted: 26 July 2007 at 10:54am

At 9:30 this morning I was halfway thru a bowl of cocopops, unwashed and my hair - don't even go there. Looked a proper fright. Think zombie movie hair.

Date Posted: 26 July 2007 at 10:57am
Yeah, exactly. I explained that I couldn't make it for 10:30 TODAY (did she mean friday? nope) and what was the next available time? She replied maybe 2 oclock this afternoon or definitely 1 oclock monday.

To confirm my mobile number with her I ran from where phone is to couch and back again, tripped on the carpet and sent the barstools crashing into the sliding door wooden framing - now has a nice dent in it. So, so pleased that didn't send them through the window. I don't think that this morning I can be trusted to drive anywhere.

Have been unusually clutsy today too, dropped coffee mug into sink, misjudged shower door width, and stepped on cats tail.

ok so trying not to get done for spamming again!!!

here is another one

Leo children are sunny, friendly personalities who love to be the centre of attention. They love parties and seem to have endless energy. Your young Leo will be more often on the move than still and will love playing games and joining in physical activities. A Leo child will be adventurous and can sometimes be reckless. Leos love parties and will be generous with possessions.

You will soon notice that your Leo baby will like to be waited on and Leo children dislike doing menial tasks. Leo girls may go through a tom-boy phase as they are happiest when doing something physical.

Leos need freedom in which to grow and experiment. Emotionally they can be turbulent and dramatic. A Leo child is trusting and needs plenty of love. Lies can be hurtful, even if they are flattering ones. There is a danger that Leos may become boastful and parents will need to watch for this from an early age. Young Leos should be encouraged to help around the home from an early age to ensure that they do not grow into little tyrants.

Leo children have a friendly nature that will endear them to everyone. Their warm-heartedness and generosity mean that you will need to teach your child how to handle money carefully.

The typical Leo child is healthy but prone to high fevers and accidents. A Leo will enjoy being fussed over in bed but this will soon wear off and she will be up again and on the go very quickly.

Today, I thought that I won't do anything baby related. Just savour the time by myself, go out in the afternoon (when a bit more settled) and trawl through the shops for something for me - no shopping for the little girl today - the big girl wants some plastic fantastic jewellary and a mocha frappachino. Yum!

Wil Wheaton - star trek dude? no, no, no this simply will not do. I think that if she goes past aunty ro ro's birthdate we had better tell her that she's gonna have to make the birthdate famous ... shouldn't be a problem as a Leo.

Also, when being measured (am 3/5s engaged) midwife takes one look at DH and goes, 'Husband big', and comments that 'Baby big' then takes one look at size 22/24, 41 week pregnant me and I jump in with

'Wife Big too' (to pre-empt her)

and she says ...

'no, Wife ... Tall'

LMAO!!

I have no idea why, but I cracked up and couldn't stop laughing at that, I'm 5ft 5 3/4, no shorty but still I thought this was quite funny.

Date Posted: 27 July 2007 at 8:15am
OMG an asian nurse i guess....

last plunket visit I got
"oh baby is average six month old - but she only 4 month!"
I saw the rest of the day being filled with tales of the giant baby she had seen - it was a day they kept aside for asian mums but the snuck me in!

Posted By: Bombshell
Date Posted: 27 July 2007 at 8:16am
and DH is tall and isnt that big anymore....funny their perceptions!!!

Posted By: Rackhell
Date Posted: 27 July 2007 at 8:17am
nah, just up early.

They are a bit concerned about my blood pressure. Usually I'm about 135/85. White coat syndrome strikes when at a hospital and my BP was 110/90. I kept being asked if I was having headaches and seeing spots before my eyes etc. Tell your mum I'm fine!

They are booked up for inducements this weekend, although if I'm feeling off they will give me the emergency slots.

I couldn't have the monitoring appointment today, because they have NO doctors available!!! Clinic closed.

Posted By: Rackhell
Date Posted: 27 July 2007 at 8:18am
Yes, an asian nurse, but really quite sweet (and so diplomatic).

When do you get back from your holiday?

BTW ill tell you off re your BP after bubs arrives....DH was at 130/ 100 the other day!!!

Date Posted: 27 July 2007 at 8:28am
No fun playing 'when's Rackhells inducement date?' by myself ...

Little miss must be keeping you busy.

Posted By: Rackhell
Date Posted: 27 July 2007 at 8:31am
whoops, forgot to refresh.

Inducement date is 1 August, a wednesday, but the haeediioous thing is that it's scheduled for 8.00am.

So, am going to be induced 13 days after due date - apparently I am a good 'baker'.

Posted By: Bombshell
Date Posted: 27 July 2007 at 8:32am
ok i reckon they wont induce you on a friday ready for a weekend - esp if no docs.....but will on a monday...post the weekend....so Im guessing monday....but that means you will miss the sat date!!!

Posted By: Bombshell
Date Posted: 27 July 2007 at 8:33am
and nope - Gabriella is back in bed asleep....slept from 630 til 6 30am and then went back down after a play and two feeds around 740amish.....when daddy and grannie had left for work.....

Date Posted: 27 July 2007 at 8:40am
She is such a good girl. I'm tired, which is ridiculous considering that I've only been awake for an hour. Must go for a walk or do something productive. Didn't get my baby-free day yesterday, so maybe I'll try again today.

Posted By: Bombshell
Date Posted: 27 July 2007 at 8:42am
i dont think you will make it to inducement date

and OMG why dont they have any docs - are they having a strike down there???

Yeah she will wake up shortly...youll just suddenly notice me off line!!! then she goes off again usually when we are in car....I still find it fascinating that she can sleep 12 hours and still go back to sleep for a nap?

Posted By: Rackhell
Date Posted: 27 July 2007 at 8:45am
Or maybe I'll cop onto myself and just slob around the house until I'm ready to venture out. A grey looking day down here which doesn't look too appealing.

Blood pressure is usually not so bad, I think I really do get jacked up because of being in/near a hospital. BP when not pressure is slightly lower, at about (bottom number) 80.

Posted By: Rackhell
Date Posted: 27 July 2007 at 8:50am
No strike here, I did manage to get that clear. They just don't have enough to keep non-essential services running I guess. The monitoring/foetal unit doctor gave me a scan, and that was it. So that's all she did.

Oh yes, something a bit off the wall.

The place where I've had 3 scans already, Medex Hamilton, denied that I was a patient of theirs when monitoring/foetal unit asked for my scans to be faxed to them. Apparently, their new computer system has no record of me. I will be ringing them up a little later today and giving them a right bollocking. M/F had to ring my midwife, who was on a job, who then had to get her copy of my records faxed to M/F from the clients place.
