In Sep, I am going be flying with my little girl Lucy up to Palmy, and meeting dadda there too, who is driving up from being in a conference in Wellington.

The big question is... is it that easy travelling with a toddler, and I will be 29 -30 weeks pregnant by then! I am kinda freaking out... what mischief will she get up to on the plane? I know it only about 1hr 20 mins, but she has never been in plane, so not sure what she will be like.

Any suggestions please! What to bring...! Advice! Ta

We have flown up to wellington heaps with the kids at various ages and we have found all the airlines to be extremely helpful! They have even several times put the stroller in last and have had it waiting for us on the tarmac the second we got off the plane.

Remember a bottle or feed her when you take off and land. It's such a quick flight to palmy so they don't have a lot of time to be bored.

P.S Try to get an aisle seat or a single seat, i felt so sorry for a lady one time I was by the window and it was a small plane and Jayden was around Lucy Ella's age and when I was feeding him he kept kicking her, I turned him around and he was head butting her by kicking off the wall.

Well basically she will be sitting the whole time (domestic flights discourage getting up) so just take a couple of new toys with you - don't take too much cause then you just have to carry it all You'll need to contact the airline about what food/drink/sizes you can take on board etc cause that has got pretty strict lately. If you can find a mini magna doodle board, and her favourite doll/soft toy, you'll probably be sweet. And maybe a box or two of raisins Don't forget a light weight stroller (you won't wanna be carrying her too much with 30wks pg) and maybe a carseat?

Will she have enough room on your lap to safely sit? Most under 2's don't have their own seat but I don't know how "full" your tummy/lap is right now

So my DH went down to Chch and now you're coming up to Palmy ay? Need anything while you're up here, just PM me. I live pretty close to the airport too.

Food. Lots of food.

Oh yeah, and you may want to book a seat for her. It'll cost extra (75% of adult fare I think) but trying to sit with a toddler on your knee when you are 30 weeks pregnant won't be a whole lotta fun.

You'll be sweet, just do what Nikki suggests and feed her constantly the whole time. And boxes of raisins are great coz they take ages for them to get thru, and you don't have to clean up the mess afterwards.
