Anyone here had this before?
My midwife thinks i might have it. I got my bloods done today and she got them back and apparently the liver one wasnt normal. So i now have to wait some more for an appt. at the hospital. Fun. ------------- Melanie. Mum to Briahna Robyn, 3yrs |

Never heard of it before, do you know anything else and what it means? 
ETA: ok have just researched it but I don't recommend doing that, ok? Here's some tips I found for you (you're probably doing them already though): - Eat a Low-Fat Diet - Drink Lots of Water - Keep Temperature Low/Wear Cool Clothing And re treatment: The goals of treating cholestasis of pregnancy are to relieve the itching and prevent complications. Itching may be treated with topical anti-itch medications or with corticosteroids. Medication is sometimes used to help decrease the concentration of bile acids. Vitamin K may also be used if blood clotting factors are abnormal....an early delivery may [also] be necessary. Let us know how things go with the hospital  -------------  |

Good thing you got the itchiness checked out. Hopefully you can keep that little girl in you for a bit longer. ------------- I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived! |

Depends on the hospital and how bad you are and how busy they are. You may end up going to an antenatal day unit assessment. ------------- I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived! |

You'll have blood tests, and pee test, probably moniter the baby on the ctg and then see the OB and you may get a scan as well. ------------- I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived! |
