ok so Have been topping ella up since the last weekend with one bottle of formula a day - now been on it for 9 days. We had one poop - a normal BF one - a week ago, and then sun arvo I got a small wet green one, yest i got a small green one, this morning i got a harder green one, and then an hour later another wet green one!!!
Does this mean she is sick etc??? or what??? She is otherwise fully BF and i havent eaten anythign strange...just healthier due to WW points...and she is only getting one bottle a day (s26 gold)
she isnt overly unsettled, or grissly, and isnt straining to poop.....so is this normal formula poop or ????

May be her tummy adjusting to the formula, I'm sure Maddie's went funny when we changed her over, can't remember the colour though.

Jack just did an odd one too. He is having the odd bottle of formula and had his first whole bottle on Saturday (I was so proud he actually drunk it) and today his poo was normalish colour, but a lot thicker. Am putting it down to formula at this stage.
You could call plunket

We had the green poop thing too & Matt was still fully breastfed. I rang plunket line & also asked our doctor & apparently it's normal!! Weird eh? I think from memory they said unless there was diarhoea or that not to worry about it. It lasted about a few weeks & then went back to normal. If you're worried get the doc to check it out though.

Kaleb's poo was always firm and greenish when he was on S26 gold- but he was regular. I thought this was a problem so changed him to Nurture Gold and he got so constipated, but colour changed Then I put him on Karicare Gold where he was bunged up for 1.5weeks and was just starting to adjust when the news hit yesterday so rather than try to find a new formula I put him back on S26 gold - at least I know what I'm dealing with with this one!
I wouldn't be too worried about the green poo- another lady in my coffee group uses this formula and her son's is the same too. (Should add his poo was greenish when we were doing 50/50 EBM/S26)

The green poos are usually a sign of something moving thru their digestive system too quickly, Maya used to get it if I'd eaten something that didn't agree with her.
It's also really common for bubs to have different bowel movements after any change in their diet, ie. formula, starting solids etc.
I wouldn't worry too much unless they start to smell really offensive, or if it becomes more frequent (ie. diarrohea). You could always ring your GP and talk to their nurse, ours are usually pretty good like that.

Green poo is still ok for bf babies, I reckon it will probably clear up in the next 5 days or so, all the other things you said about her makes me not worry about it. Are you having more veges than usual on WW?

i thik i worked it out today - i bought a three pack of avent bottles with teats...and today i thought she had scoffed the bottle quick...and was really spilly!!! Well turns out the three pack comes with number 2 teats and i normally use number 1 - I know that 2 are age approp but as she is mostly BFing I think 1 is slower...so obviously we are dealing with colic poos and am going to make sure i go back to number 1 teats...has only been an issue since she had the new bottles - as of weekend!!! \
glad i didnt keep on with them,...someone made comment today about how quick she had drunk the bottle....and then i thought to check the teats!!! she is so spilly this afternoon now...i hate that smell!!!

Glad it's all worked out, BS . If it happens again, another thing that causes green poops is when bubs is drinking mostly foremilk and little of your hind-milk (snacking at the breast, or just one of those weird random changes). Unless it's a regular occurrance that's not a prob.
