Ok so i'm using them every now and then as inserts but my question is once it is used do you just put it in the dry pail (as I am curently doing) or should it go into a bucket of water with napisan in it?

I just wash off any poo's and then bucket them with the rest.

I use flats pretty much all the time. For the wee's I just put them in a bucket - no water, nothing. Occasionally I find things get a bit pongy, so I'll soak them for a day before washing at night, and then everything is fine - I think the pong is more the bucket than anything.

For pooey ones, I soak in napisan before washing.

I put mine in a dry bucket - have found that some are stained at the moment, but that may be due to the lack of SUN!!!!!!!!!

You can do either or, I soak all of my inserts in napisan including the flats.

So Emma do you wash your inserts separately from your nappies?
