so when did you first notice whether your child was left or right handed?

Gabriella seems to favour her left hand for picking things up, holding them etc etc...not too suprising given MIL and BIL are both leftys and my mum was ambidextrous as a child before school converted her o a righty

I think i have a left handed child on my hands....anyone else notice early on or were right about their child?? just curious = time will tell of course....

I initially thought Alyssa might be a lefty as she used to use that hand all the time when she was smaller, but now she seems to be more obviously a righty... Not sure if it can change again though?

most children are ambidextrous till about 5yrs when they are starting to write more and will favour a particular side. Mercedes used her left hand for everything as a toddler including drawing at kindy etc but her second year at school she has changed to writing with her right hand.

Kobe always did things with his left, now its about even and Addison is the same, she sucks both thumbs and will use either hand. Ive read somewhere that prem babies are often left handed, something to do with the side of the brain that developes last.

Both my girls always use their right hand for cutlery, from before a year. Deb, I used to suck my left hand so I could crinkle the sheet with my right hand (I'm RH).

jack seems to favour his left hand alot more than his right. he eats with his left hand and usually draws with it too.
charli i think is a righty. she sucks the right thumb but uses both hands to hold the bottle
