Well, I think we will be able to move into our house at the end of this month, , finally.
The kitchen wont be finished but does have a ceiling and 2 internal walls, and I doubt the bathroom will have a ceiling either. I'm beyond caring, so long as there is power and water. The plumber comes this weekend and the power(solar) next weekend.
I have pretty much finished the babys room and our bedroom, I love the colors. In resene colors, the walls are lilac bush and trim is christalle. I dont think hubbys all that keen on the colors but he did say, I could choose them.
We dug the pile holes yesterday. Hubby dug the 900mm deep ones and I dug the 11 300mm deep holes. Boy did my back hurt, so I took a couple of pain killers but still didnt take all the pain away. We have deceided to work on the shed that will have the solar panels on it, while its at the neighbors so when it gets lifted with the crane, it wont fall apart. It better not fall apart or we'll be stuffed. There is no where else to put all the batterys and solar panels. Hopefully we'll have the piles concreted in, tonight.
We are still waiting on our shower unit to arrive. It was supposed to be here last week.
On a brighter note, look at my pregnancy counter, its on the last box,

I'm so angry with our plumber. He was supposed to work on our house all weekend but hubby rung him friday night and he said he couldnt make it on saturday but will come first thing sunday. To us first thing is 8am but he didnt turn up till 10,30am then stuffed around having coffees etc, so didnt start work till 11.15. Then he had only worked for and hour and told us he had to be back in town by 2pm. He only got 2 pipes in OMG doesnt he realize how urgent it is. I told him several times while he was here how many days there is to go. He says he'll be back this weekend, he better be or he'll be getting a barreling from me.

don't even get me started on plumbers! when we were doing our house (relocated) by the time jack arrived we still didn't have any water connected. after being reassured by the plumber that it would only be a 2hr job and would be done that day (thurs) by the following mon we still had no water! so no toilet, shower etc and that is hard going with a newborn!!
they pissed around so much and moved so slowly i couldn't believe it! the fact they barely spoke english didn't help either!
i hope everything is getting sorted, i understand your frustration! *hugs*

We moved the shed yesterday and all went very well. It didnt fall apart and its now beside the house. Today I have to take the old roofing iron off so hubby can put new iron on.
I missed the whole move because I had a midwife appointment here but I had my 17 year old with the video camera so I thought, Id still be able to see it being moved,,,,,well,,, she forgot to press record I am soooo, upset because I will never be able to have any photos or anything to show how it was done. This was the third building we've relocated but its the first time, we'd done it by ourselves.
Anyway, like I said, I had my 36.4 week appointment yesterday. She couldnt beleive how small the bach is. Bubs is growing well. The midwife says bubs will be bigger than 6pound and smaller than shaun(8p14oz). I took her up to show her the house and what I've been up to and she loves the house. She said she now understands why I have to do so much and wont hassle me about having rests.
The only thing is,, my next appointment is for 2 weeks time but, I should be on weekly visits by now,, bugger it all. I guess she just thinks, because I'm on my third time round and I've got so much to do, its easyer all round to keep the fortnightly appointments.
I also rang the plumber again, and told him our plumbing is very urgent and please get his A into G.
So after this weekend, we should have power and hopefully, most of the plumbing done, well,,, we'd better.

WE HAVE POWER!!!!!
and its working great. The plumber came back yesterday with a friend to help with the plumbing. We now have the drain in the kitchen, the hot water cylinder is ready to go and we have the basin in the bathroom with taps but no drain, bath or shower. At least we have running cold water at the kitchen sink. Still no toilet. Even if we have to flush with a bucket I dont care. The plumber said he'll try to come back during the week but if not then definitely next weekend.
I have decided to move in, this coming weekend, no matter what. I am soo worried/scared bubs will come and we'll still be in the bach.
I'm so sick of all the hold ups. I wanted this week off to finally rest and sort out the babys room and clothes but now it looks like we'll be working the whole time, this sucks

Bubs is moving heaps but most of the movements are soft now.
As for me, well, I'm soooooo tired. I'm in heaps of pain from my back, hips and my shoulder now. I have to get to the physio this week. Sometimes, I nearly collapse from the pain, when I try to stand up. I know its my own fault and should of gone to the physio weeks ago but I didnt want to waste $50 only to do my back in again.
My neighbors are laughing at me because I've been counting down the days. One of them is only a few weeks behind me, but like I said to both, the midwife, and the neighbor, the reason I count down days rather than weeks etc, is not only to get hubby motivated but also because of how much pain I've been in. I'd like to see them do as much as I do and put up with this pain for as long as I have.

Hmmm Ana...me too...All I want to do now is see her....the scan guy tried to get a 3D pic of baby today but she is a very active baby and it just did not come out right.....but hey I have 4 weeks!!! I can wait...well you know what I mean.
I know Bonnie....Hubby and I were talking this weekend and he was like...oh my God in 4 weeks we will be parents???? wow!!!...... You should have seen his face!!!!
I went and bought the nicest Bertini cot sheet/quilt/blanket set yesterday, bought some socks, cloths, mattress protector thing and a nappy bag. All up $280ish....
Hubby is setting up the cot this week and I got my baby monitor too.....The problem is I am also trying to set up my house at the same time and I am stressing out!!!
I feel 4 weeks is not enough!!!!
Bonnie I think you should just rest now (I know, I know easier said than done)......not long to go...

Now thats its finally finished I can relax and I am absolutely knackered today - all I want to do is sleep

I honestly dont know how I manage. Maybe its just motivation of finally living in a real house and having space after living in the bach for 3 years. The bach is only the size of a 2 car garage so thats pretty good motivation
We have moved some(about half) of our furniture up to the house but it looks soo empty. I'm sure we'll soon fill it up.

Yay Bonnie, at least its progress!
Roksana, am having navy curtains regardless. We are a bit cash strapped so the plan was to have a room that isnt too babyish and wont have to be redecorated or anything for a loooong time! I repainted an old shelf and that is up on the wall with some toys and my old baby books. Have got the old wooden bassinett in there, but will prob have it in our room for a start (maybe?). Have got the cot set up (I bought a PP farm animals quilt set for it) and a big chest of drawers (absolutely chocka with clothes and blankets etc), plus a feeding chair and a trolley thing all set up full of nappy paraphenalia (sp?). Am really happy with how its turned out. I think we have everything now - looking forward to trying out my pram! I'll take a photo later when the sun is out of the room and post it for u.

Oh wow...you have every essential thing by the looks of it. Sounds good!! Oh the PP farm animal quilt set is very nice......
My hubby wants one of those rocking chairs in the baby room....I might steal the one my parents have (since they never use it and it is sitting there brand new).
Hubby set up half the cot and I have a tallboy in there ....sitting very empty!!! I have cloths that need to be washed....the closet has one of those plastic 5 drawer storage thingie with loads of nappies. And that is it! ARGGGGG I dont think I will get every thing I want done in time!!1

I went to the midwife today and bubs is doing fine. She will be the over the 7 pound mark. The midwife has said we'll start getting things going, if I havent had bubs at the end of next week. Mostly because of the pain I've been in. She has also recommended primrose oil and rasberry leaf tablets to help things along as well.
I also went to the physio today, finally. My right shoulder was severly out, my upper and lower back was out and both hips was severly out. Ummm, guess thats why I had sooo much pain. I dont think everything will stay in for long though, due to hormones, and moving house this weekend. All I'm going to do for the next 24 hours is, wash baby clothes
My dog(papillon) is also pregnant and due around the 12th of this month. I had her scaned today and she has at least 4 puppys YAY.

I went to doc tonight too - baby has finally started to drop (YAY, YAY, YAY!!!!) and I havent been as sore with the rib probs. She thinks that I will have bubs before due date (YAY again!) but if not it will definitely be in October, she wont let me go more than 10 days over.

Hey, you two are in the same boat as what me and Xandersmum were, in the end our girls are only 12 days apart anyway cos Ayja came early and Harmony was a couple days overcooked. lol
I have heard of people inserting primrose oil capsules... up there, with a tiny hole pricked in one end, but have no idea really... you'd have to talk to midwife about it. Roksana.. you could probably take the raspberry leaf stuff from about 36 - 37 weeks... it's not a wonder drug... it won't start everything as soon as you take it... it sorta just works to tone the uterus... so over time it works.. just stick to the directions on the packet - don't OD or anything.

Dont know what its called, but its just one of the normal little newborn capsules - no base. It was $68.75 ($30 bond, $5 cleaning and rest was to hire), which I dont think is too bad, cos if you hire the next size up you dont have to pay the bond again.

You know the funniest thing is...I am not worried about the labour or the pain etc etc...but starting to think if I have every thing ready or not, are we going to be good parents or not, are we going to be able to protect them from all the crap out there...all these weirdest things!!!
Do you think I am nuts?

yep - for so long everyone just focuses on the labour - that's 1 day pretty much - the rest of their life is the challenging part. You just do what you can to bring your child up right, you can't protect them from everything... although yep, with the state of the world at present - i think it's very noprmal to worry about what you are bringing your child into and what life is going to be like for them when they are our age.

Oh Roksana! Try not to stress about stuff that you have no control over (like the worlds problems!).
I am feeling pretty relaxed actually, just playing the waiting game. Stressed for a moment this morning when I realised I'm actually due NEXT WEEK!! But otherwise, doing ok. Occasionally I worry that the baby will be born with something wrong with it or something happening during labour but I think thats just cos I have worked with so many kiddies with disabilities that I have a slightly distorted view! Hope that hasnt started you stressing about something else

LOL....Aimee....I have already thought of that....and I guess it is natural that you worry abt every thing....cause you wanna protect this amazing creation inside you.....but as you say we dont have control of every thing. We can only try and be the best parents possible.
I am actually very excited and cant wait any more....I wanna see what she looks like, I wanna hold her now! ....But cant help stress abt things either.
Gosh 12 days to go.....did your midwife say if the baby is engaged yet?

Tell me about it with the rib thing!! Not so bad now bubs has dropped a little. But, when I change position in bed or stand up I have to hold my rib cos it just pops out a bit by itself now

Ouch Aimmee - wow, 11 days - you could go any day now then? lol bet that's not what you wanna hear, but also it maybe is? it's a bit of a catch 22 really ooooh I can't wait for you to post on here that you've had bubs.
Just noticed you two are only due 10 days apart. That's so neat when that happens cos you have someone that's going through nearly the exact same thing at the same time as you. Think I've said before, but if Roksana goes early, and you go over... your babies could be only separated by a few days!

hhhm yeah i noticed that too - maybe she's had bub. yep Roksana, i did that with Becks.. lol, 12 days between our girls. and when you are up at 2 in the morning and baby won't sleep - you at least know that you aren't the only one in the world doing this - cos it's certainly feels that way sometimes - you can think , hhhmm, she's probably doing the exact same thing right now.

Hey Ladies...just heard back from Bonnie.
She is extremely busy with the house and no, no bub yet.
She is having major problems with the solar power guy and has just moved in to her new house (And she said her family were a big help and hardly let her do any thing)....but you know her, she is still getting things done, even tho her feet are swollen.....That woman is strong!!!!
Any way she only checks her emails every second day so will keep you updated if I hear from her.

Hmmm....sounds like a plan but knowing me, I will find some thing to do! LOL...I am a nutter!!
Hy Aimee you only have 9 days huh? not 10...that mean 7 more days at work for me. Wow time is flying......so any more progress with your bub Aimee....do you think you might have the bub early? do you think the bub is engaged yet?
I had such bad baxton hicks yesterday...oh my!!!
And every time my tummy got tight, bub kicked and moved. I was exhausted!!! I called my midwife and she said that these baxton hicks help babys head to go down and engage....great!! But very few today!

Yeah I am having trouble with the whole resting thing, not good at doing nothing but a good book helps.
Going to Doc again tonight so hopefully will find out if its engaged yet. Its kicking a differnet spot now so its still dropping and it feels a bit uncomfortable down low at times so I guess its head is right down there now. Still gettign lots of cramps, but the BH have eased off a bit. Still think it will be early, but might just be wishful thinking And thanks for the update on Bonnie.

Just got back from the Docs. Apparently bubs is engaged and ready to go - just need to wait until he/she is ready!! The doctors prediction is that its a boy, a little over 8 pounds and that it will be born next Tues (18th)! I guess we'll find out soon enough

This baby i have had a dream about it being a boy....we'll see. good luck ladies. It's hard resting, but after you have bubs you'll think.....i should've rested!!!
