hi longdon. jack has ezcema also and i find that using lemis fatty cream (on script from doc) every day helps keep his skin moisturised so his flare ups aren't as frequent. when it's really bad, i've got hydroquartisone cream to put on. i use arqueous cream in the bath instead of soap. it's sits on top of the water which is gross and makes jack rather slippery, but it works.
alot is trial and error, good luck, i'm sure you'll find something that works for you and your bub

With the aqueous cream you can add a bit of water to it and shake it up til its like liquid soap and use it from a pump bottle. Still works just as well but isnt as thick and slimy. I have to use it myself from time to time cos of ezcema.

I had ezcema behind one of my ears...when I was younger. Could not get rid of it no matter what we did. Then we moved to Africa...and BOOM its gone. I think it has alot to do with weather too.......
Hope it gets better for your little man.

We use either sorbolene or aqueous on Maya's exczema. It got really bad when she was about 9mths and the specialist convinced me to use .5% hydrocortisone which cleared it up straight away, but I am really hesitant to use it because long term use is not good for the skin.
Other things that have helped us are sea water (her eczema is always better after she has been in the sea), and letting her wear as few clothes as neccessary to let her skin breathe. In the summer if she gets really itchy I put cool wet towels on her skin which helps the irritation.
Maya is allergic to milk, peanut, soya and until recently egg, but even with all of those things out of her diet she still gets eczema. I did discover that sunscreen was a culprit after it flared up last summer, so we now use a hypoallergenic Clinique sunscreen ($30 a tube but worth it!) which she doesn't react to.

my friends lil baby has eczema really bad, and hes been allergic to every cream she has tried, makes his poor lil face swell up so bad he couldnt see, so she dosnt wash him as often and put breast milk on it which clears it up, hes only 12weeks old.
