We have just come back from A&E where my nightmare ended...
It was such a lovely day today that Lucy and I went out for a walk to feed the ducks and were walking along the banks of the avon river.
I stopped to get some bread out then the minute I turned around the buggy had rolled down the hill and into the river, Lucy was lying on her side, I ran in the water was up to my chest, I couldn't get a grip as it was sooo muddy on the bottom, all I could see was lucy's head bobbing up and down, I was screaming for help and lucky there was a young guy around so he helped me pull the buggy out and lucy still strapped in it, she was blue, and not speaking but had her eyes open. I was in major shock, and still am now 5 hours later, someone was out for a bike ride and he rang the ambulance for me, lucy was soo cold and kept saying "cold". I am 23 weeks preggers, they baby is fine, I wasn't worried about the baby, I kept saying sorry to lucy Went to A&E stayed there for 3 hours, lucy is fine, back to her normal self, it's just mummy that is still a wreck and will be for awhile. DH is taking the day off tomorrow and my mum is coming to be with me.
This arvo has been a huge shock for me

Thanks, I had alot of nightmares last night with lucy actually drowning.. feel like crap this morning, can't stop crying.. again... Still have to deal with the buggy, it's still out in the garage, and have a cold from being in the river.. oh well, at least I will have company today

Your allowed to feel like crying, what you went through was extremely traumatic. If you don't feel up to it maybe DH can deal with the buggy, it sounds like you have been through enough. I can't even imagine how scared you must have been. As far as the nightmares go, talk about it with other people and that sometimes helps them go, but over time.
Put your feet up today and let your family look after you

Try having some karva karve - its a natural sleep aid. It helped when I was going thru a turmatic time (although nothing like yours)
It actually reminded me of that case in UK about baby going into the river what mother out running. So glad all things are ok with you.

Yep we are all better, but now lucy has a vomiting bug, we rang the hospital as we thought that she might have picked up a bug from the dirty river, but don't think so, then again it might have been at A&E.. eating raisins off the floor in A&E.. ewwwwwwwwwwwwww!
