My friend just sent me an email from her friend who is preggers in Japan - she had written an article for a local rag about being pregnant in japan and sent it over for me to laugh over nad reminise.

Anyway, she went to see the doctor at 8 weeks preggers and he said "early term pergnancy care is a bit of a waste of time - most feotuses die anyway"

OMG - suddently am happy my doctor only spoke to me in japanese (most of which I didn't understand)

thats exactly what they said to me here in the UK. I was quite surprised (its my first time being pregnant) but assumed thats how they treat all mummies.
when i told my mum in NZ over the phone that they dont waste their time with pregnancy until its over 12 weeks. she was so shocked and disgusted.
