| I was in a wee gift shop/junk shop place today and was surprised to see pretend smokes on sale, remember those ones that make it look like your blowing out smoke. I thought those would be banned! I was quite horrified to be honest. |

I know there was talk about banning them ages ago but I thought they were still around? We loved them as kids, they were heaps of fun to pretend even though none of us ever wanted to smoke and none of us have either. -------------  |

| yeah i remember buying them from the magic shop when i was younger and when the 'smoke' ran out we would fill them with powder but these days it woudl be horrible to see a little kid running round with them. |

The candy smokes are now called space sticks or something like that - rebranding means they aren't breaking the rules. -------------

I loved the candy smokes or the space sticks or the whatever the heck they're called now. We used to go outside on frosty winter mornings and pretend the steam coming out of our mouths was smoke lol.
And yes I did smoke for about 8 years, but I'm quite sure it was more to do with being 14 and thinking it was cool than lollies that looked like cigarettes. Haven't seen the powder filled ones that Robyn's talking about tho, they sound a bit OTT. ------------- Maya Grace (28/02/03)

we loved playing with the fake smokes when we were kids. sucking back and blowing smoke
