I love audio books. They invariably end up in the car for listening to when the whinging from the back seat gets to be too much. This is a good one for taking in the car on long trips "over the river and through the woods" this holiday season. The CD has two recordings -- the story on its own with music and sound effects, and the story with "page turn pings" to encourage small readers to join in and read along.
Little Mouse is helping decorate the Christmas tree when he goes outside to look for some holly, and it starts snowing. Having never seen snow before, Little Mouse is a bit perplexed, then frightened, at what he sees as the sky coming undone. Great bedtime reading for children who haven't yet seen snow, it's also a good intriduction to the powdery white stuff if you're on your way to a ski trip!
