Yep, Otrivin is fine. Paracetamol is fine, not sure about the Otrivin but I have been wanting to use it too!! Paracetamol is fine, the long term risk is liver damage which can happen even when you're not pregnant and it would take a lot more than a couple of days worth to do that. Not sure about the Otrivine, do you have a midwife you can ask? As far asI've been told paracetamol is ok, I know I was taking it occasionally at about 10weeks for pain. As long as you don't go over the recommended dose I think it's fine. Don't know about the nasal spray though, sorry.

Hi there, I've come down with a major cold.

I know it's ok to take paracetamol, but I've also read you shouldn't take it regularly.
Do you think it would be ok to take it for a couple of days in a row?

And what about otrivin nasal spray?
I usually use that before going to bed when I have a bad cold, so at least I can sleep. But all the information I read says not to use it because it hasn't been tested on pregnant women.
My regular pharmasist though said it was ok, as it doesn't really enter the bloodstream.
However another pharmasist told me not to use anything at all during the first 3 months (I'm 10 weeks).
Any opinions?
