I had period cramps both times. Once for the m/c then again for this pregnancy. Same pains both times. me too - I really really thought AF was on the way and had the pains for probably the first 8wks of pg. I don't know about everyone, but I could have sworn AF was going to arrive any minute with both of my pregnancies. i get all the symptoms that af is about to arrive, including the cramps, and when i get my bfp, the cramps last another 3-6 wks depending....strong enough to make myself second guess at times, but never stronger than my normal period cramping.

Thanks for your comment I asked the question because im getting period like cramps and think i could be pregnant but not to sure my AF isnt due until 20/01/2009

I definately got period like pain when AF was due with both pregnancies. Mine was just like a normal AF and lasted until I was about 15/16 weeks. It never got as painful as normal period pain but was very much there and enough to second guess myself as to whether I might be pregnant or not.
