I was just searching good old google to see if there was any info about if chem pg can alter ya cycle as I reckon I may be oving real early this month... anyhow I came across this article ....
http://ezinearticles.com/?Getting-Pregnant-After-Miscarriage&id=886457 ....
This can't right!!! It says you shouldn't even try and fertilise the egg if you Ov later than day 15!!?? Man I've got no bloody chance if this is the case... There is no references or anything but just wondering if anyone else has heard this before....

i don't believe it - the biggest problem with the internet is people can put up whatever they like
there are alot of people who ovulate late and go on to have successful pregnancies
here are another couple of articles to consider (did a quick google)

yep I agree - it is a real problem with the net, completely unreferenced info which causes unnecessary worry... but I still can't help myself reading all this stuff...
... and if I think about it rationally my DD was the result of a CD35 (approx) ovulation ... it just worries me that my long cycles are gonna cause more probs this time, esp as I had a chem pg last cycle...
Thanks for the links... they seem more along the lines of what I had heard before... I'd just not heard stuff about not trying to fertilise the egg with old sperm (3 days +) and not trying to fertilise old eggs etc...

I Ov'd on CD 32 so hopefully all is ok - it is a bit worrying reading that sort of stuff. I have done a bit more googling (could't help myself ) and I think many people have had successful pg's with late ovulation. A lot say the luteal phase is what matters and if that is shortened from late Ov then there is not enough time for implantation but who knows??
This site made me feel a bit better about it Also theres one that got PG the month after Chem pg...

Jane you'll be fine!! I have always had long cycles and have had two healthy girls with ovulating late... Sorry if I made ya stress!!
I was just thinking it was a bit different from lots of other stuff I had read and wanted to make sure others agreed ...
Strangely the reason I was googling is cos I thought I was Oving way too early this month (CD15) and that's what I came up with... crazy!!

that's not dumb I would have asked the same thing a few weeks ago It's a chemical pregnancy - basically an early miscarriage. The egg is fertilised but doesn't implant properly for some reason or another from what I understand...
