How did you break the news that you were pregnant??
I just found out today that our lucky last bub is coming, and since this is the last time i get to do this, I want to do it in a fun way... With Jae I just text him and said the tablets he was taking had worked! I want to do something a little more interesting than that this time!

I was pretty cruel I got DH to read the result to make sure there was 2 lines. That was first thing in the morning before he went to work - think he was a bit stunned for most of the day.
Massive, huge congratulations too

I have seen t-shirts "Im going to be a big sister/brother" I think that is so cute!
I think mine went along the lines of "whoa $hit!" as we weren't expecting that close of an age gap

#1- I did a wee photo frame with the message Daddy in Waiting and a picture of him. Then I kept updating the frame with the scan pictures etc. I did the same thing to tell our parents and siblings
#2 - I did the "I am going to be a big brother" t'shirt. This was wicked. It was funny seeing the family cotton on to it to. Some people caught on it about a minute of us arriving but DH's Mum we had to tell after 30 minutes of waiting.

Yea I told DF in an email lmfao. I was a stunned mullet when I did the test at 5:30am before I headed out to work. Kept waking DF up and then telling him to go back to sleep. Will probably do the tshirt idea next time.

send him a rattle or something, that was my plan....when i found out i was too shocked to follow through. I when I told him i was grumpy as I'd been trying to get in touch with him for 2 hours. I ended up asking the school receptionist to go over and find him and get him to ring me urgently lol.

we had had an argument over what to eat for tea (what a dumb thing to fight about!) but I needed to pee so I went and did the test - then couldn't believe it when it looked like a positive result... so just handed it to DH and he was like 'how accurate are these things?'
He was so excited :)

No offence to your DH... but remember (most) men are pretty stupid when it comes to these things! You need to make it REALLY obvious!

#1 - Not planned, he was waiting outside the toilet while I did the test and knew when I came out shaking and crying
#2 - Told him on msn! We'd just started trying so was a bit of a shock to be UTD so quickly
#3 - Handed him the + test as he came out of the shower then burst into tears saying "Please don't hate me 'cos I'm pregnant!

I love that Caramel for #3, I presume he was stoked?
Definitely do the nappy & wrap with the postive test in a very obvious place.
Or I reckon the T-shirts! Wicked idea.

With Ty , I told everyone else first , (including the 2 ww girls ) I text him and told him ...
He said "I can't believe you told me over text , don't do that next time "
so this time....I told everyone else first haha , BUT , later I said to him
"I think im pregnant "
and he said "you always think you're pregnant "
and I said
"doe it make a difference that my bbs hurt and my AF is late "
"no "
.."oh ...well should I do a test ?"
"ah if you want to "
so I tried to ,but I didn't have enough pee left in me ...so he went to the supermarket and told me to drink a glass of water and poas while he was gone .
Ahhh , still couldn't so I just showed him one of my earlier tests and told him it was the first one Id done ..

A&C's mum, by AIO, I mean a stretchngrow kind of AIO, not the nappy kind
going to do it tomorrow... wish me luck!! I'm about to go to bed and its going to take a LOT of willpower (this coming from she who tested at 8, 9, and 10DPO!!) to not say anything!!

Just asked DH, he said, if you were trying or weren't fussed either way of having more kids then the AIO & the wrap with the pregnancy test is a cool idea.
He said if you weren't planning or didn't want more the straight out approach would be much better.
I'm so excited for you though.....

Firstly - congrats!
I'd gone to the Doctor for something completely unrelated (or so I thought) and had gone in hope of getting some antibiotics.... this was first thing in the morning before work. the doc asked me to do a preg test while there 'just incase' and sure enough... BFP! DF rung me in my lunch break and asked how I'd got on at the Docs. I didn't wanna tell him over the phone so had to make something up lol. Had to try and keep a straight when he got home. I had it all planned out how I was guna break the news to him but I ended up just blurting out 'your going to be a Daddy!'. The look on his face was priceless! lol He had no idea
I love the 'I'm guna be a big sister' t-shirt idea! Might have to do that when #2 comes along me thinks!

haha, I did it... he looked at me with an 'I dont believe it' grin and said "are you sh!tting me?!'
I dont think he quite knew what hit him considering it took about 2 years to get Jae!
Only problem is now hes worried about how his family will react They were expecting me to go back to work months ago, and we had no intention of my returning until after #3 was old enough to go to preschool! Hell, they didnt even know we were trying again

Hehe what cute ideas you all have of telling your partners! Makes me want to have a cool way of telling DH next time i'm pregnant
With Chelsea, I took the test after he'd left for work as I was only 10dpo and didn't want him to growl at me for wasting a test so early so when it had two lines I was so shocked I tried ringing his cell, but he was still driving and didn't pick up. So I got on Ohbaby and told everyone on here, lol, then put the test at the top of the stairs for him to find when he got home, then went off to work myself.
But during the day he emailed me and I couldn't help myself and called him "Daddy" when I replied. So he replied "are you pregnant?" and I said yep hehe. Oops. Never mind, he was still stoked (well after he stopped worrying about me having another m/c)

I wrapped up the AIO with the test lol. He opened it up, and looked at the AIO with a wtf look on his face, til he saw the opened test packet... hehe
This is the last time we get to do this, so I wanted to do something 'different' With B I just handed the +ve tests over to his dad, and we sat there thinking 'now what...'
With Jae I had to text DP cos I was in so much shock I couldnt even think straight...
He text me after I left to see Eclipse last night and asked me how many people knew... hmm... does that count people he doesnt know I know!?!?

The first time I had had a dream I got a BFP and totally forgot to test till the next night, so POAS (while we had a bunch of friends over!) and it came up BFP, I txted DH (we were in the same room, but didnt want anyone else to know) and said if I was PG how soon would you want to know? I must admit it was a long few hours till we were alone!!
The 2nd time I had a tshirt made that said "worlds best daddy to be" (and had similar ones made for my sis and mum (theyve worn theirs but DH hated it!)
I love the baby dinner idea! I wonder how many DHs would cotton on though....
