Oh yay for you being due in July. Get to meet your bubs even sooner  So how many weeks does that make you now then Bunny_owl? Oh that sux you have such bad SPD  I hope they can give you some kind of support belt to help with it. If you do feel you are heading towards depression, feel free to chat to me privately about it. I suffer from depression and anxiety the majority of the time, so I get that low feeling. And make sure that your midwife or GP refers you to MMH(maternal mental health) if you are going down that road. The support really helps. I hope the physio appointment happens soon for you.

Hi all
I don't usually join forums and am not entirely sure how they work but thought I would give this one a go.
Our baby is due 28th August (our first) and I think we have decided to find out the gender ( I'm super keen to find out but hubby wasn't originally!)
Hope I have posted this correctly
Oh and I would like to join the FB group and private forum too

Had our 16 week scan today, Obs can already tell what sex it is but we refrained from finding out, it was VERY tempting :) 20 week scan due 8th April

#1 was a surprise and everyone insisted I was having a boy.

Thanks Supra/Escadachic. The physio has given me a ginormous piece of tubigrip - like a control miniskirt! It helps, as it makes you use your core/pelvic floor muscles. It's a constant discomfort, but trying not to let it affect my mood!

I've been having issue the last few days with pain. Mostly lower back when I walk anywhere for more then 20 minutes and in the afternoon and evening, pain between my lower spine and tailbone, making me limp.
Might have to chat to midwife about it.
Glad you've been given something that helps.

Hey everyone Seems like forever waiting for anatomy scan - 1 & a 1/2 weeks to go (28th March). I'm 17 & a 1/2 weeks but still get doubts there's someone in there! It's silly, as I had a scan at both 8wks & 12wks, so there definately is, but it seems surreal I guess! I think I've been feeling fluttering movements, but not without trying pretty hard to! It's hard to tell if it's my imagination as they're subtle, & my husband can't feel them. So when I can't feel them I sometimes think maybe the baby is not okay, which is also silly, as some woman don't feel anything yet. So role on scan & then I can be sure the little pea is still in there safe & sound :-) Family & friends have started putting in their guesses as to what I'm having - so far a boy is winning. It's hard not to start thinking of it as a boy; the power of suggestion! It doesn't help that my husband reckons he could see a penis in the 12wk 3D scan, even though the midwife insists it won't have been. I don't mind either way, but want to find out so can start referring to he or she instead of 'it'. Those who have found out - what are you having? Did you have any 'intuition', & was it right?! What about other people's guesses based on old wives tales? Aparently I look like I'm carrying a boy?!

Nah, what your husband would've seen is the nub. They all have a nub at 12wks. Which either shrinks and turns into a clitoris if it's a girl or turns in a peniS if it's a boy. From 17wks the sex is obvious. Don't worry, before I found this out, I thought it was a boy at the 12 wk scan as well.
Yeah people were always guessing boy with my 1st. And I got used to hearing that and half believing that, but I have 2 daughters, so clearly people were wrong.
I thought with #2 I was possibly having a girl, due to having cravings for sweet stuff. This time I have no idea either way.
I too am hanging out for my 20 wk scan. Which is this Thursday and yes, I am so finding out what I'm having. That is why I feel so impatient waiting for Thursday.
Regarding others feeling babies movements, 23+ wks seems about normal for others to be able to feel movements. It's because before that baby has more room to move around and by then, baby is taking up more of the womb and therefore movements are more obvious.

I know what you mean about not feeling anything even though your bloating like a cow :) I'm 17 weeks too, I thought I'd felt flutters the other day but yeah could also be my head playing tricks on me too. I had minor pains on my right side recently but my Obs said that the uterus ligaments will be stretching & probably causing that. I've been pretty lucky so far with pain. I think the most I had was in the first 3 weeks, my back ached something chronic. No doubt there is more to come as it gets bigger.. Anyone else getting REALLY sore feet lately?

Don't get a chance to get sore feet LOL! As my back starts aching before my feet get the chance to get sore. Makes me feel old.
Nah, you head probably isn't playing tricks on you. It's just movements can feel like gas and are so subtle it's hard to know. But likely they are just subtle movements you are feeling.

I must admit I am kind of getting sick of appointments being cancelled on me. MW had to cancel today's appointment, but that is ok, as she is rather sick. So I was like, cool, I can deal with that. Then Pacific Radiology call to cancel my appointment for scan on Thursday and can't rebook til Monday or Tuesday next week  So I was like, fine, I'll ring Horizon Radiology, as I'm not waiting til next week. Thankfully I got an appointment with Horizon on Thursday, yay I was seriously so close to tears. So glad Horizon Radiology have appointments and on the plus side, the don't need a full bladder. As Pacific Radiology do and I honestly wasn't looking forward to not peeing from 7am onwards
