Thanks for all your kind words and thoughts. Unfortunately things have got worse and I'm getting induced tomorrow. We have named him Connor Fraser and he will probably be born on Thursday.

Hello- I'm new here been lurking for a while. Any other type 1 diabetics currently expecting? This is my first pregnancy and I'm at 28 weeks currently. So far so good but the last month has been tough with blood sugars going nuts and insulin doses changing every other day.

Hi KateBee - I'm not pregnant yet but after a long journey I'm hoping this is my year. I have T1 though so have a bit of an idea of the complexities involved in managing that on top of everything else. Are you on a pump or MDI?

Some of the reasons for high risk pregnancies in most women: Overweight during pregnancy(in some women) Increased level of prolactin hormone Decreased germ cell quality Increase in NK (natural killer) cells Smoking and alcohol consumption Abnormal shape of the uterus

Hi. This is my second pregnancy and I’m quite worried about the risks. I had undergone a tummy tuck procedure in Toronto soon after my first delivery as I had huge bulging tummy. Now I'm pregnant with twins. Will there be any complications? I’m worried. Will my tummy be able to accommodate twins? And after the delivery will my tummy return back to its previous condition? Any previous experiences?

Hi Everyone, After being told I was unable to have children for about the last 7 years, I have found out this week that I'm 9 weeks pregnant with my first child. I'm so madly excited and terrified that something will go wrong at the same time.
My fertility has been in question as I am a type one diabetic, and had not even had a period in years, so this has come as a total (but now happy) surprise.
My health has been pretty shocking in the past. I've already been for a scan, as they needed to be able to give me a due date since there was no LMC to calculate it accurately from.
Hope you're all well and happy!
:) Catherine

Hi. It is my 6th month and I have a few complications. I am a diabetic patient and on top of that, I have dental issues also. I am worried whether it will harm my baby.

My mother. She has a negative Rh factor, which made her pregnancies difficult. She lost her first child. Miscarriage. But in spite of everything, she believed that her next pregnancy went well. As a result, I was born) Of course, everything was not so smooth. I was born at 8th month of pregnancy and couldn't breathe by myself. A month I fought for life, stuffed with tubes and needles. Only God knows how much she gad to pass through! I'm so proud of her and so thankful!!! She is very brave and strong woman!

Hi, Wow, great I think it fits me too. From 3 years ago, I’ve miscarriages for 4 times. It was so hard and tough. I was feeling sad, depressed, and hopeless. But now I’m 15 weeks pregnant. sometimes I feel nervous and mood swings. But I’m so happy with my pregnancy.
