Congrats Alex on the arrival of your bubs! We can't wait hear more about your quick birth and to see photos.
Added some more belly pics - just noticed my "turkey timer" haha.
No more pains today so guess the other day was a warm up.

Your 'ute' you mean!
I wish I had the practice contractions or whatever they are around the front. I'm scared of a "back labour" with the sensations I've been having lately. MW Tues yay!

Hey ladies, had some crazy weather here earlier with massive pieces of hail. Was quite exciting apart from the lightening which I don't like and neither does one of our dogs who was trying to hide under Spencer's highchair, probably not the wisest place as it has a metal frame. Spencer couldn't care less and was more concerned about the fact that I was cooking his dinner fast enough for him.
Have been having some pains again today but not sure if they are gonna turn into something or not, will apologise in advance Genie if I jump the queue, although with all the false labour i have had I really doubt this is the real thing either...........or is it?

Nothing to report here (pouts). But I am a bit peeved that I dont have my childcare sorted yet. Mum and Dad are camping around the south island but are about 3 hrs from us now so if I go into labour before about Thursday I have to find someone else to watch Tom. I dont really want to wait at home for 3 hours and then drive for 3hrs and 6 hours could be long enough for a second baby. Grrrrrr!
On a brighter note my MW dropped me round some "light" reading.....2 clearfiles full of info on everything to do with pregnancy, childbirth etc so I have lots of reading and info to look at. I like being informed.
Genie....you are officially overdue. I feel for you. I hated it last time. Go the curry and maybe your DH might get lucky....not sure mine will when the time comes. Part of me is in to the idea and part of me isnt....guess which part isnt
Well I am Dhless tonight (pouting again) but Tom has just gone to bed so fingers crossed he goes to sleep quickly. We had a lazy tea (fish and chips for me and vegemite sandwich, yoghurt and banana for tom...oh what a bad mum).
I hope something is happening Marisa. I want some excitement in my life and I have to live it through you guys at the moment. Oh here come the evening BHs......maybe they will turn into something...prob not.

Well think this might be it ladies, pains about 7 mins apart and starting to get painful. Have constant back pain too which is getting a little annoying so am making use of the wheat pack. Friend is on standby to take Spencer. We're gonna give it an hour or so and if still getting pains then will drop Spencer off before it gets too late then Dh will come back home again before we go to the hospital.
Just gonna pack his bits and the last bits for my bag then jump in the bath and see what difference that does or doesn't make.

Hey Girls
Sorry haven't been on but have lots to report!
After posting late on New Years Eve - woke up the next morning and my waters broke at 6.20am. Had breakie etc and then drove one hour from family beach house down to home. Went into hospital at 10.30am feeling like I was having pretty strong contractions and midwife told me I was 7cm!! Managed to get fully dilated on gas only and then started pushing at 12pm. Pushed for over 2 hours and baby wasn't moving at all. In the end specialist was called in and had to have syntocin and epi and then baby was delivered with ventouse (vacuum).
To cut a long story short as I am feeling knackered right now - my little man was born at 15.43 on New Years day weighing 6lbs 10. He is named Ashton.
If someone can remind me how to post a pic with a Mac computer I will try and post a pic of him in the next day or so. Only just got home from hospital today, so haven't had a chance to get on computer before now to let you guys know!! It all happened so fast on the day I had no time to let anyone know.
Anyway I see briefly looking above that Alex may have had her baby too?? I must try and catch up on posts in the next few days when I get some spare time.
Congrats to all the other girls who have had their bubs arrive!
And hope the rest of you are still feeling great.

Congratulations Brabsie
I use www.flickr.com for putting images on here. Upload the image, make sure you set it as public (which I think is the default) then once uploaded click on the image and it will come up larger then over to the right it says "share this" click on that and it will bring up another box, open "embed it" and copy the code. Then paste that code into your post and use the forum codes (just under where you post there is a link to them). You have to delete some code that you paste in, everything before "http://farm4.static.flickr.com"
That probably all looks very odd but should make sense once you are doing it.

Wow congrats Brabsie..hope everything is going well for you.
Marisa I was joking about the queue jumping thing..I am fully expecting at least half of you to have bubbas before I have mine. Hope this is it for you and all goes well.
I'm driving myself and everyone around me nuts with this damned waiting game. I'm not a very patient person, and I'm just so frustrated with it all I don't know what to do with myself.
Anyway, looking forward to some updates..
