Hope K is ok! That seriously sucks about your valuation . We are hoping to sell our rental this year and I am dreading the GVs. We had our house valued a few years ago and it came up 55K over what we paid and 30K over the GV....but I doubt it will be that now. Thing is really really need to sell but really need to sell for the old valuation amount. I think we are screwed! I have been looking on trademe and other houses in the area have been asking another 40K on top but they arent selling.

K only slept for 30mins, I think he got too cold cos I put him down in just a tee with his blankets on and his heater off cos I didn't want him to overheat but I think I caused the opposite problem. Pamol brought his temp down though and he seemed a lot perkier, didn't want any dinner though which is very out of character for him. He had a couple of mandarins and some cornthins but that was all, he had eaten all his lunch at the carers though.
S has been a real delight since he got home. He went to bed 5 mins ago after slapping me in the face, not something he normally does but I am zero tolerance for that crap. He was begging to go to time out as I carried him off to bed. K went to bed just before 6 cos he was looking very sleepy, think I might get woken in the night.
Yeah houses are a pain in the butt, sometimes I think renting would be better. What is GV is that like the rateable value?
My ladycup arrived along with the thirsties covers I ordered, now just waiting for my boos to arrive. I got a free mumma pad, anyone used those before? They gross my out for some reason but I might give it a try as I have one for free.

Cool M, mine has been shipped, hope I get it tomorrow but it'll probably be monday when AF is over? Yeah Mumma pads gross me out too!
Good on you for taking on the other kids Alex, not many would do it. Funny how those of us gagging for a 3rd have put the brakes on that idea! Also if your nephew possible has ADHD, have a read of the book Fed up with ADHD, it shows that sometimes it can be diet based.
I hope K is ok M? Sounds a bit bizarre?
Yay Pickle, have a blast@

Yeah S had a runny bum on Monday, poor carer got full on poos through pants, gross! and then I spent tuesday arvo throwing up, so I'm guessing Kyle probably has a sore tum but hopefully is getting over it without gross poos or vomit.
Yeah my nephew has ADHD and autism, the autism is on the lower end of the spectrum, my sis has to be very careful with what he eats. It hasn't fixed his issues but she definitely notices things get a lot worse when he eats something that he shouldn't. Is mostly just the normal culprits, flavours, colours etc, but some "normal" food sets him off too. They have a specialist that comes in and help liase with them and the school and teach them and his teacher the best way to deal with him (not deal with him but I can't think of the right wording), that's in the UK though so not sure if something similar is available here?

Hope K is feeling better now M.
Gracie did end up bruising her nose. It is only pale luckly but is right across her nose between her eyes.
Wow Alex. Good on you for helping out with your niece and newphew. Four kids would take a lot of organising.
All of you who wanted another baby are all changing your minds and staying no more and I am just about the opposite now. The more we think about it the more we think maybe . Would be for a little while longer yet though.
Busy weekend this weekend. Off to Welly tomorrow for the parent and child show and then on Sunday I am going to a cake decorating course. It is a fundraiser for work but I thought it might be very interesting.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Sonia - I always remeber a lady saying to me years ago "if there is one thing that you can give a child it is a sibling". I stronly believe this. It was sooooo very important to us to try to achieve this for Bede and after lots of heartache and tears we did it! I know we all have challenges in our lives but if you are lucky enough to have another one do it!!!!! No-one can ever afford it and the time is never right and it doesnt always happen but for us we were really lucky and it was so worth it. This of course if just my opinion
I am on week 7 of my Weight loss challenge and surprsingly doing well even with two weeks in Fiji. I have lost 7kg and 1 week to go yay. May even win a gym membership out of it.
have a good weekend everyone

Not an official research thing, on the internet. A friends little boy looks quite severe. I can ask her for that link. I read & delete the links LOL

Sonia, two is really really good. After having one for so long, I really appreciate the two, they can play with each other now & it's fab. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have another baby, but on our financial forecast it's more logical to stay at 2 & give our all to them. You will never regret having another child. The bit that you don't overly like is short in the grand scheme of things. You've still got a while to make a decision so don't pressure yourselves.
Go Pickle
Yay, DH has mowed the lawns, he's getting another ladder at the mo so he can clean the chimney as well. Nice to have a day of sun so things can get done.

Wow Alex, 4 sounds full on! But good on you for taking them on.
Yay pickle, go you with the weight loss
Hope K is feeling better two_boys.
G is doing really well with her TT too. We even had poos in the potty yesterday as well. I just gotta take the plunge at some point and put her in undies all day and see what happens. She is just wearing them when we are at home but she only had one accident yesterday and one so far today and this morning when we went out she had a nappy on and it was still dry when we got home. So hope it continues.

Had a great day in Welly yesterday and Gracie was a real little trooper. Not good when we got home though and she ended up vomitting through her bed. Ends up it is a throat infection, just glad that it is not tonsilitis again. I
I had a great child free afternoon today at my cake decorating course. It was quite fun playing around with the icing and making it into different things.
Wow G you are great with the potty training
Weather really sucked today! We haven't mowed our lawns in ages - they are just just a bog at the moment

Thankfully we dont need to mow at the moment. Nothing is growing anyway!
Go G on the TT. Can she come and talk to Tom!
Poor James has the reddest bottom I've seen! He wont sit on it and when he did another (watery/mucousy) poo before he burst into tears. I had to hold him without touching his bottom. So he has now gone to bed...whimpering in his sleep. I dont know whether its teething or what? We all have coughs and I did have a wee bit of a runny bum this morning (but thats nothing unusual for me to have from time to time. But it could be connected. Poor mite! He does have incredibly swollen gums and goes through phases in a day of being very happy then totally miserable!
On an interesting note. We have all had coughs and they are horrible coughs. I found this stuff advertised in the chemist called kiwi herb...http://www.kiwiherb.co.nz/afawcs0145625/CATID=4/ID=75/SID=304921835/productdetails.html
Kids seem happy enough to have it....and if nothing else, it might soothe the sore throat a little.

OK, I need some advice. We have never had nappy rash that has lasted more than one nappy change. Now we are into our second day of such a red angry bottom that he goes through the roof when I change his nappy. So much so that I have put him in undies today (to catch poos). He has terrible poos. Yesterday they were practically like water with food remnants in them and then they went yellow and mucousy and now they are green and mucousy. He isnt wanting to eat much, apart from yoghurt or porridge or bananas. I am stopping all other fruit (may have been the contributing factor).
Every nappy change I am gently pouring warm water over his bottom and dabbing it clean as he just wont let it be touched. He wouldnt even sit down in his bath the last 2 nights. just screamed! I tried to bath him in pinetarsol but nope, all I could do was splash water over him. He wont sit down so everything is done standing or on me. I've got a terrible cough (almost like whooping cough) and as such have pulled a muscle in my shoulder blade and every time I lift him I feel like someone has stabbed me.
I am smearing a barrier cream over him that has calendula and geranium in it. Always worked in the past but I am wondering if I should drop it down to just vaseline! I cant find my sudocream sample anywhere (shows how often we have nappy rash...I am still using the sample from Tom's birth!
Any tips? I was talking to the doctor at work yesterday and he has offered t have a look. Oh poor thing, has just got up to walk to me and he's walking funny....but he does like his undies! Will post photos on FB from last night.

I usually just use curash no matter how bad rashes are. Works well.
Is it raw?

Its getting better...I hope. I was using sposies...mainly because I was putting cream on it and before that because he had the runs, and before that because I was sick of trying to dry nappies. Anyway, I put him back in an itti (seemed the softest thing) and he's getting better. Still wont sit on it and doesnt like me to touch it...I have to pour water over it to clean him. But its now got normal skin in the middle rather than all red and raw! Just using vaseline now.
