Mmm I'm hungry all the time too. At least I'm not put off lots of food yet, that totally sucked last time being really hungry and only being able to keep down toast and potatoes, even they were iffy. And I went totally off chocolate *crazy* LOL. Apart from that I just feel nauseous and exhausted, no reflux yet either... so maybe this preg won't be like the last one!

Has anyone had dating scans yet? Or just blood tests?

Thanks Tigerish tell me about it, I'm a little stressed about finishing my degree and looking after Chloe as well as having a new little bubba!! Eeep!

How old are your 3, lilmisspink?

In fact how old are you lovely ladies?

I'm 24 years old, been married for a year and a half now to a wonderful guy, and live in Dunedin.
Chloe (4 years) and Oliver (3 years).

Hi Ladies, i think i also need to visit the dr for some antimedics in the past cyclizine has been the only thing that has worked long term for me. Although they cant prescribe it like they would for metaclopromide as it needs a specialist recomedation i wonder if the midwife would count???
Otherwise things have been good off for a 2nd scan tomorow as the first was too early

Im 24 and hubby is 28 we have been married for just over 3 years and have just built a house in cromwell although we may sell it and move back to Dunedin as i feel awfull saying here is your 1st grandchild but you have to drive 2 1/2 hours to see it!!!

hi girls, really sorry to hear about your m/s's. I've been really lucky so far, no m/s at all. The only symptom i've got so far is breast tenderness and some uncomfortableness in that area (like period niggles but they come and go - no spotting or wetness though), pretty much every night. My appetite is def down in the mornings though, which I've heard is a symptom. Tried to get hold of the clinic today to book my 13 & 20 week scans but couldn't get through. Will try again tomorrow. It's hard when you can't call at your desk and have to go into a spare office to phone. It's so hard not telling everyone at work I feel like I want to tell everyone. Have told parents and my brother. Telling fiance's parents on Friday night. We get married on 8 Nov, so this was a little surprise for us! I think we'll keep the sex a surprise too, although I keep thinking it will be a boy. It doesn't matter though as long as its healthy.

HI to all the newbies

I can't keep up with all you guys and your posts - a sick 11month old has had us up the last couple of nites so am very slow at reading and slack at posting.

Well I am a lucky one in that I do not get ms, occassionally feel queasy but on the whole pretty good.  Get very tired though (feel like I've been hit by a steam roller!!).  Well I am 33yrs old & hubby is 34 we've been married 3 1/2 yrs and this is #2 for us.  We'll have 2 under 2yrs, so like Littlebug will be quite busy, but that will be us done (all things going well).

Hope that all you girls with ms start to feel better soon - sending calm tummy vibes your way

Yay babaymoo, someone else from Dunedin! And shannon, you are not too far away either!!

I never feel much like eating in the morning either, but have to eat as soon as I wake (and in the night) otherwise I feel so ill. I used to throw up in my sleep, last year, but that was in the 2nd trimester when my MS got heaps worse.

MummyHowell2B... do you have to book your own scans? My MW always did it for me.

Definitely feeling crappier tonight and totally lost my appetite, yuk. Got my form for an early dating scan but won't get it done for a week or so. My sister is a sonographer so she's booking it for me at her work.

Well I just turned 30 a couple of weeks ago (yikes!) and DH is 30 too (he is a Dunners boy too). We have been together for 10 years but only married in May 2006. Lost a little girl at 20 weeks last year in November to spina bifida, so its our second pregnancy but will be first bubba (fingers crossed really hard!!)

I am SOOOO hungry at the moment!!! But I still can't eat much at one sitting - SO frustrating!

Anyway, I'm 26 (turn 27 on 23rd August) and have been with my partner (who turns 28 in September) for 7.5 years now, married for 6 of them. Our oldest, Tyler, turns 3 on the 31st of July and Cam is 18 months (turns 2 on the 22nd of Jan) So our birthdays are a bit more spread out, espcially with a March baby coming! So I just need to get my October baby to have the whole set of seasons!!! (Better not let hubby see that - he's still not sure about this one - lol!)

Awww queenbean, that would have been hard, did you find out at the anatomical scan? That's rough.

I'm just writing an essay about folate metabolism and neural tube defects... Which reminds me, is everyone taking their folic acid?

Yay babaymoo, maybe I can finally meet up with some OHbaby people for once! All the people in my other thread seem to be from Aucks.

As for midwives down here, you can go up to the Queen Mary Maternity Ward in the hospital and ask at reception for a brochure which has a whole bunch of printed names. I'm going with my same midwife as last time, she was AMAZING and I am totally happy to have her back!! Her name is Jennie Crawshaw, she's been doing it for about 14 years so she really knows what she's doing. PM me if you want her phone number! She's on holiday atm but will be back on the 21st I think.

Gaudjen, lol at having all of the seasons

Yeah, we found out at the anatomy scan, it was devastating. Plus I'd always taken my folic acid religiously too, so you just can't help these things sometimes. I'm on a real kick ass dose of folic acid now though, 5mg.

I'm keeping my same midwife too, not very helpful to you Dunners ladies as I'm in Hamilton!

Lilmisspink that sucks about the camera. Dh and I bought a Canon Digital SLR and I LOVE it!! Best purchase we have made so far Olympus are great camera's too.

Rachel thats soo funny about your DH not waiting to tell people. I was the same to Dh, I told him he wasnt allowd to tell others until at least 8 weeks but then I gave in because I had to tell my family lol.... So hard to keep it quiet Havent told everyone yet just family and 2 of my closest friends.
Oh and yep, Ive also had the 'wet' feeling down there too. I am so paranoid I take a quick visit to the ladies to check!!!!

I hope those that get MS bad dont this time around. Ive been getting neasuea (sp) but taking ginger and so far its working.

Anyhoo, Im 24 (will be 25 on the 1st January) DH is 30 (31 in August) and we've been married for 4 months. Currently live in Brisbane but moving back to Chch in January 09 - Yay!!!

lol Gaudjen!!!!
