Well I had a scare last night. Went to the loo and had bright pink spotting on the tp. About 15 minutes later it was gone and there's no spotting this morning. No cramps either which I'm taking as a good sign. I'm hoping I just banged my cervix around and it bleed a little out of spite. It did seem to hurt yesterday. Fingers crossed that's all it is. Did anyone else have anything like this??

Best of luck Kaz, just remember that it may be too early to see the heartbeat yet.

All the best Kaz!!! Thinking of you!
Mollycat - hope its nothing and you're ok
I spent most of yesterday in hospital on a drip Originally I got all excited and thought morning sickness was starting but when it wouldn't stop from either end (sorry tmi) I figured it must be something else. Thought I may have eaten something (although I've been sooooo good and not touched anything my list from the specialist says I can't have). Turns out I have gastroenteritis Baby is fine though and Waitakere Hospital were great!
Hope everyone has a good day I'm going back to bed soon.

Morning all.
Esther I hope you're feeling better now, that's not nice at all. I'm pleased to here that baby's fine.
Kaz, good luck for your scan.
Mollycat I hope the bleeding was just one of those things some women get and that you have an uneventful, happy and healthy pregnancy.
We loved visiting my sister but I'm so pleased to be back home. My sis has lent me some maternity tops for work which should be good for warmer months. I told my aunties and grandma while we were up there and they are all thrilled. I also took my last HPT today. This was the first time I've done one since my af is overdue and the line was strong and immediate, so I think it's time to cease my poas obsession
I have to decide on a midwife today. I'm not at work so can't check my emails to see if my last midwife recommended anyone. It's pretty much between 2, one lives close by but her office hours are only until 3pm so I'd have to leave work about 90mins early to have appts with her but she will be closer when it comes to d-day. The other has been a MW for 28 yrs and lives about 30-40mins away but does home visits and is happy to come out my way for the appointments but when it comes to d-day she's very far away and if it happens during rush hour it'll take even longer (this is a serious consideration since it only took me just over an hour to go from 4cm to fully dilated with Michaela).

Konagirl, my temps stayed up high and I temped for a few more days after bfp.... had to try and break the habit lol, they were up the highest my 'normal' temps have ever been even!
Yikes Funlvn, glad to hear you and bubs are ok now, gastro is not a fun thing to go through, esp when combined with early preg and ms, and the cramps etc...
and lol susieq, lurk away, I am sure we will have another lurker as my sister happenes to be on this site as well Its funny cos this time last year she was posting in the June 08 thread, and now this year appears to be my turn

Sally, what time is your scan? Mines at 5.30pm, had to make it a late one so DP could get there after work, this is his first and he wants to be there for everything lol...
I found out just how much he wants this baby... he was telling me about a really bad dream he had the other night, that I had been catching a lift home with the friends I was with at speedway, and he got a phonecall that there had been a crash, but only one 'casualty' (in other words I had lost the baby as a result of the impact) and when he woke up he had to kinda smack himself to make sure he had really dreamed it... I dont think he has ever been so relieved to wake up and know that we are still having this baby!
I remember why Juice is NOT a good thing to have with breakfast... it burns on the way back up [:'(] You would think I'd know things like that after last time... but 5 1/2 years does funny things to a persons memory lol!

poor you Essie, i had Gastroenteritis when i was 36 weeks pregnant, was not a nice experience !
I feel tired, but i was up til 1am , and dont have any nausea , only slight tenderness of bbs , did get horrible metallic taste in mouth this morning.
Have been scaring myself, looking up too many scary things on the net, such as missed miscarriages etc, ...i must remind myself ...GOOGLE IS NOT ALWAYS YOUR FRIEND!!!
strange tho , i was never worried or concerned at all with C,this one im so paranoid...probably because its planned.
Hope your scan goes well Kaz, will have my fingers crossed for you

Kelly, I wasn't worried about anything with B either... he was a suprise, and i just took it in my stride and carried on with life... whereas this time we tried for a long time, lost 2 early on, AND got told it wouldnt happen without help, so this baby is nothing short of a miracle for us... and I am constantly terrified every time I get a twinge... and the ms I hated with B, I am embracing (much as it tastes foul lol) as a sign that this one is sticking in much better than the last 2...
I wish I could go back to the same naivety I had with B so I could just enjoy it, instead of spending the next 6 weeks terrified... In saying that thought, the other 2 never made it passed 6 weeks, so am already starting to breath a little easier

Regardless of my paranoia , im going to love this baby as much as possible , no matter if i have it for a lifetime , or for a few weeks, cos i'll never be pregnant with THIS one again.

pmsl Sally
glad im not the only one having a duh preggy brain moment today lol!
I am trying to muster up enough energy to go hunting in my kitchen for food, and fast lol... any movement seems to make my stomach churn something wicked, and im running out and off to the loo instead...urgh... knew the whole mild ms thing was too good to be true after the intensity of it with B...

Morning all, horrible all day nausea yesterday. I curled up in the armchair with my granny rug and didn't move an inch all day then struggled up to bed exhausted at 9.30pm. DH and our housemate are both in in bed today with my cold, so glad I was feeling good first thing this morning 'cause I got to mother them both as much as they have been mothering me of late. Starting to feel a little nausea again now So glad that I haven't actually been sick yet, just feeling like it's going to happen is bad enough. I'm trying very hard to remind myself that if I'm feeling sick it means that baby is doing well - but it's hard at times. I'm finding that chewing gum really does help me feel a bit better. I remember reading on other lists the girls saying how they couldn't believe how hungry they were even when they felt ill, now I really understand, I just wanted to keep eating yesterday 'cause it was the only time I didn't feel sick.
Esther I hope your doing heap better. Glad to hear that the hospital treated you well and baby is fine.
Molly I hope the bleeding is nothing, so many people get it and everything is fine.
Kaz, how's the US? Hope all went well.
Ok, I'm buggered seeya chickas.

Morning all!
I had a really amazingly weird dream last night... I "dreamt" that I heard this hauntingly beautiful song being sung by a man on the piano - I can't remember the tune now but it's not something I've heard of before but it was so beautiful that I remember thinking to myself that I want to play that song over and over again.
Half way through that dream I panicked because it doesn't make sense that loud music should be playing in the middle of the night. We've been burgled before and suddenly the paranoia set in and I woke up, trying to figure out where the music was coming from. That was when I realized that I was only dreaming.
That was weird because it was so vivid!
