Ah now I'd be more help if I could remember the brand, but one of the cheap brands of choc chips (not drops) is D/F. Pams, maybe? It's a cheapie supermarket one.

Yes, Pams is only one I know it is dairy-free but it is not strictly dairy-free ie made in factory where milk has been used. My son is unfortunately is very hypersensitivity to trace of milk and had allergy reactions few times to Pams' chocolate drop so we have stopped using them. So hence query about dairy-free chocolate drop (I have been using Sweet william chocolate and chopped them up but getting fed up of doing it every time!)

Could you use the blender to chop it up? Or do what I do and stick in in a plastic ziplock bag and bash it with a hammer/rolling pin so it's all broken up.

Maya was OK with the Pams ones, but I know Kinnerton also have a dairy free range.

There are some signature range cooking choc's which from memory are dairy free - but I can't remember whether they come in buttons etc. I bought a block or two.

I have contacted companies via online. One campany who deal with Sweet william and Orgran products as well as many other speciality foods have got back to me and posted me information packs about products in depth as well as free sample and free magazines.
Sweet william do make dairy free buttons as well as dairy and nuts free chocolate spread (I didn't know about it!!) and they have provide me list of shops who sell buttons, spread etc. Unfortunately none of them is near my areas, so have to make special trip into city to stock them all up.
Not sure I am allow to mention name of this company on this forum? but they are very helpful
