Emz I thought the same thing. When I saw the specialist when I was over due with Caden, he booked me in at 42 weeks to be induced, even though I said how much pain I was in with the sciatic nerve and stuff, i just wanted Caden out.
Im glad that I'll only be going to 41 weeks this time if i do go over due, but just bummed it needs to be a CS as I cant be induced to to previous CS.
I have an upset tummy tonight and very loose BM's(sorry tmi) and my sciatic nerve is playing up AND I ahve major cervix pain. Lame lame lame

Snap Sheza! I have all of that today too I thought I was going to vomit after special cuddles today (that would've made DH feel great ) and then went for a walk and kept doubling over from sciatic nerve pain. Gah I'm NEVER doing this again

Haha neither will we! Hopefully it might mean something for the both of us.. I'm getting so sick of MIL chirping on about how she only went to 36 and 38 weeks with her kids blah blah blah so it must be my side's fault that I go to term - wtf? It's noone's 'fault' - what a dick! And did she maybe think that because we have early scans etc the dates are more accurate these days? Like if I went by just my period etc I would have been about 8 weeks overdue with Jack and I'd already be a month overdue with Ava!
OK rant over I need to go to bed

Urghh that would annoy me too Emz. My MIL kept going on about me having a C Section "Oh but you wont have to go through laboour, have a C Section!"
Its like, um hello, the recovery from a c section is so much harder than a vaginal birth!! I dont want major surgery again if i can help, hence why Im trying a VBAC! Plus, I will take advice form my own mother thanks! gah lol
ouch ouch ouch, the pain I might drag myself to bed as well, Im really downy tonight

Hey.
Again another sleepless night full of F****************EFIAHIHFGIAHFLHS contractions, was using the timer Sheza, very handy thank you very much contractions got down to 3 - 4 mins apart but i didn't feel they were strong enough to wake up MW? If It was day time I would have rang and said is this what you want.
Just been toilet and TMI had a heap of blood not gush out or anything but when i wiped heaps of times i just kept getting blood. Sitting in lounge feeling like all I want to do is cry and waiting for contractions so can start timing again and then ring MW and let her know what's going on and that I haven't had any sleep again but she doesn't start till 9...
rI'm really hating this now and just want this fricken baby out so i can sleep and lie down

Dani was the blood bright red like a period? Or was it more blood streaked mucous??
Just my MW always says to me if its blood like a period then call her right away, but if its blood streaked mucous then its part of the bloody show.
I know how you feel, I had this with my son, nights/days of contractions that lead to nothing Then finally at 41 weeks 2 days my waters broke, and he was born 48 hours later!
With your contractions, when you get to the point of needing to go to hospital and call your MW etc, by that stage you should be having trouble talking through them etc Thats when you know you are in labour.

yeah it was blood like period, but not as bright, more blood than mucous, I would call it more of a bleed than show, not that I'm an expert.
Just about to page her after I get the next contraction so I can let her know what they have been like.
How do you cope with all the contractions and not being able to sleep and lie down???

Hmmm yeah id be ringing her about the blood, to be on the safe side for sure!
I went bonkers dani lol, but basicly, a hot water bottle and panadol and walking round, showers etc they all helped, but it was horrible.

Okay just spoken to MW, she said contractions are still very irregular and understands I haven't had any rest. Try some Panadeine as I've tried Panadol and bath and it has done nothing.
The blood is normal unless it is filling up a pad. She is coming round about lunchtime today to do an internal, if i'm not dilated we can't do anything, if we are then could POSSIBLY look at going in to hosp for the pethadine injection but she wants to talk about it and doesn't want to do that and wants things to happen naturally.

Oh Dani. I have to say, right now, at this moment - I will take my lazy comfortable baby rather than 2 days of contractions and bleeding.
The acupuncture did improve my mood, if nothing else - which I'm pretty sure DH is happy to pay for! I've been right miserable lately and I have to say that I"m not please as I've just noticed that my stretchmarks which HAD been staying below my belly button have started to make the migration north - NOT impressed. Not that I would ever wear a bikini but Boo!!!
I was up and down last night with a sort tummy and loose BMs - but pretty sure it had something to do with the spicy chicken wings DH made for dinner and not baby.
I'm planning on going to see a movie by myself this afternoon and then tomorrow I"m seeing a friend for morning tea. Then Thursday is MW and acupuncturist. I'm hoping I don't have to plan TOO many days after that.

Aww it wont be too much longer Megan Just keep doing things to distract yourself, and enjoy your last few days of peace and quiet
My times of peace and quiet are when Caden is in bed lol, so about 2 hours a day, the rest Im up and down like a yo yo lol.
I think my upset tummy last night was from the ice cream I had lol Not to do with this baby.

Hope you guys that are waiting get your babies soon!
On the breastfeeding issue - it's blimmen hard! Here in our hospital they wouldn't let anyone top up with formula and were really PC about it which really doesn't help. So hugs Alsi - like Nix said (I think) a happy and healthy baby and mum is the most important thing I think and if you are just stressing yourself out breastfeeding and not getting the support then it's only going to result in an unhappy baby and mum.
We had a good night, thank god, just waking for feeds and settling straight after. Don't know what we did differently but I'm hoping we can repeat it. And the little fatso only lost 12g in his first week!

Yes, as much as I tell myself to enjoy this time I can't help but worry. I want this baby out so I know he's alive and healthy. I just have this weird fear that he'll run out of room and suffocate in there.
Someone told me to go take a walk on the beach yesterday. I HATE walking on sand. I thought that sounded like the worst idea ever!
Oh Sheena - I really hope the S&S on thursday works for you so you can get your VBAC. Did you say they were looking at the 27th as the elective date?
And yeah for chubba bubba BecM!

You mut be doinf well eoth the feeding then BEC!
Is Tanya getting induced today? Goodluck!
And hope you are dialated atleast a bit Dani, after having that pain and blood!
MW has just been and Leah is 10pd 3! What a fatso, so she has pretty much put a pound on in one week.
We had our first night without formula last night. she went down at 830, and we assumed she would be back up in 30 minutes (as he usually doesn't go down till midnight) - so we didnt botgher going to bed will about 11pm and Leah ended up not waking till 1:30...so I wasted all that time and didn't sleep
Leah had her firt smiles today...she did it for the MW and my mum....but then for me. They were definately smiles...as MW said, otherwise I would have just thought it was wind.

oh yay, love the smiles!
I am feeling really good - slept most of the day yesterday when Mason was sleeping, and followed the MW's advice and Mason only was up 90 minutes in the middle of the night! I feel almost human - and I haven't felt like this in ages. Might just go to the library today and visit Sue too.
Good luck Tanya! Thinking of ya!
