TIFF8NY: I hate the way the NZ system works when it comes to unexplained infertility  I hope IVF will be just what you need to get that elusive BFP! Have you had a look at my blog? It pretty much outlines my IVF cycle and experiences so it may be good to help give you an idea of how it all works. AFM: Had another BT today, still waiting for the results. Had my arm butchered though and it's only day 2! My vein moved so we changed arms and that one hurt too. Yikes!

Yea with unexplained infertility you have to have been TTC for 5 years until you get any public help or funding!!! Luckily our specialist was good to us and got us in after 2 1/2 years of TTC. We got told in June that we were finally on the waiting list and that it was going to be 18 months long but finally got our letter and we only have to wait 6 months more so we are sooo happy about that! but its all this waiting that has been so hard! gets you down emotionally. I know we still have a chance of a miracle seeing as we dont have any probs but just doesnt seem like it will happen without treatment, so IVF is our last resort!

E2 levels today (day 7) were 1933. Does anyone know if this is good and where it's supposed to be?

Nightingale - it's really hard to answer your question - as it all depends on the number of follicles you have. What did the nurse say? When is your scan?
I can only dream of those numbers - I was only at 1900 after 13 days of stims!

I have my first scan tomorrow morning (after yet ANOTHER blood test!) Seems they're taking no chances with me this time! JH said he was determined to get me pregnant I heard rumours he's planning to retire soon too.
I hope next time is the charm for you Leilani!

Oh, and the nurses send me all my results/instructions via text and I don't want to call them after every one of them and be a pain! LOL. I did yesterday but thought I'd leave it today.

I like to interrogate my nurse too! Poor lady  Can you request a phone call instead of text? I would have rung except for the fact I'm having a scan tomorrow so didn't see the point!

My file is flagged "No Texts" after recieving an inappropriate text from them after our failed fertilisation cycle. But anyone can request it - I think it's on the consent form,

No, no nothing like that. After I had the results I heard nothing from either a nurse or the FS, then on Sunday pm (last heard from embrologist on Weds or Thurs) got a text reminding us of our follow up appointment the next morning at 8.30 - something we knew nothing about!

Hi Girls,
I am at work but just wanted to pop on and let you know I had a scan today and have 6 follies between 15mm - 19mm and about 6 more between 10mm - 14mm. I'm hoping some of those ones catch up too! Could be triggering as soon as tomorrow!! I have another scan in the morning and then I'll know if it's Sunday pick up or Monday pick up. Eek! Anyone been told one number on their scan and then ended up getting more at pick up?

Thanks girls!
I know this probably sounds selfish but I can't help but be nervous at only having 6 after having 18 last time! I'm worried it doesn't give us much to work with.
SarahD: When you got 6 did you get any to freeze?
I had a call from the nurse today too saying to increase my puregon to 100iu tonight as my E2 has dropped a bit. Does anyone know what that means? Should I be worried?

Don't be worried Nightingale - you are going for quality, not quantity this time. More often than not quantity seems to equate to much lower quality.
Hopefully the increase in puregon/estrogen will help the small follicles catch up.

Hey Nightingale, soungs like you are doing wonderfully, if I remember correctly from my last round I had six good sized ones like you have and a couple more a bit smaller and they ended up getting 11.
So I would think you are on track for a good amount, like someone else said its quality not quantity that counts in the long run!!
Its such a nerve racking time, but you are doing so well (I have been lurking and reading your blog too), stay strong and good luck for upcoming EC!

Nightingale - all sounds perfect to me I think you're on track for a really positive cycle. Fewer good quality are much better than more of average quality. Sounds brilliant.
Leilani - I've had the same text issues, they text me (on the phone I told them I had lost) to tell me not to take my meds! I like to talk to a real person and for the money I paid I dont think that's too much to ask.
AFM: my cycle was cancelled today. My FS has been avoiding me but a nurse that felt sorry for me gave me her mobile number so I rang and that was the result. I'm not sure what our next step will be but will deffinately be having a wine tonight.
