Well, almost to plan. Good results with 18 collected, 12 mature, and 9 successfully fertilised. Downside, they want to do a freeze-all. Never had any issues with OHSS (ovarian hyper stimulation) and also never had anything to freeze, so very much do not want to put all my eggs in the freeze-all basket.
I asked embryologist what if we don't want to do a freeze-all, she said it was docs decision (I'm paying $13k, I think I should get a say), and if they're not good enough quality to freeze they're not going to result in a successful pregnancy anyway.
Argh! Why is this journey never simple?

Astral that's a great result with 9 fertilised! I have to say though I don't really understand why they want to freeze them all if there's no indicators why they can't do a fresh transfer?

Yay for numbers astral!!! That's about how mine started and got 2 to freeze..so you've not ohss'd then? That's weird that they want to freeze. But I must say that both docs I've seen at FA seem to believe that in the not so distant future all cycles will be freeze all because there's minimal difference and by doing fet later it means a more natural environment. However I GET your frustration!!! Due in dec girls we'll be together xx

Well, the freeze-all does not look like it's gonna happen, since we may not actually have anything to freeze.
Transfer tomorrow - hopefully!

Thanks guys. Transferred a early blastocyst on Saturday. No frosties. Hugely disappointed that we had 9 fertilised eggs and nothing left to freeze. Just gotta hope that the one they put back is THE ONE! Blood test will be Monday, but I'm sure I will POAS before then. Never been much for holding out.
Really hoping this is our time. Not sure what we're going to do if it hasn't worked.
