Pretty sure I'm out this month. Haven't been temping until today as I was away…. very low temp this morning. Even though it's a one off it's soooo low I don't think it's anything other than AF arriving :(

That's an odd temp for you NZVeg, way lower than normal AF! Wonder why!

I tend to hve pretty variable temps which is a bit annoyin but it's usually still easy to pick ov fortunately. Today's temp was more like my normal AF temp. And Of course I was right. AF started yesterday as predicted. Onwards and upwards to another Month..... Another pregnancy Facebook announcement today. Like a punch to the stomach.

Awww thanks charly! It helps to know you ladies are here for me. I'm trying to stay positive but I just can't help but get sad every time I find out another person is pregnant. This was my 3rd month since second m/c so here's hoping 4th times the charm

Thanks girls. You are my rocks in this world. It is really hard when it was soooo easy the first two times. I feel like 3 months is suuuuch a long time. I think it feels longer because the first cycle took like 10 weeks…. because of the retained products etc. Staying positive though. I will get there. I am young and time is on my side so I'm sure it will all happen when the time is right.

Mrs baker - I'm on my phone so it's hard to read. Will have a look when I'm on my puta. Chelsea - you ovulate 12-48hours AFTeR a positive opk! So I would imagine tomorrow, however I hve had it be te following day (Monday) on occasion. A temp rise will confirm exactly when you ovulated. (Temp rises AFTeR ov)

Thanks nzveg!! All getting more serious now as I'm going on progesterone supplements in a couple of months if mine doesn't increase naturally. So opk tests are accurate then? U wouldn't get a positive if wasn't ovulating?

Chelsea I'm having fun and games with first few days trying to temp also. Have started in middle of cycle so it's hard to get a real picture?! Is the progesterone to help ovulation/temp??

And u can get a positive two days in a row Right? What about three? I'm new to The whole opk thing!! Mac as for charting keep taking your temps same Time of day as soon as u wake (before sitting up, having a drink etc) and u will soon see a drop when your period comes and then you'll be on track for charting next cycle. Your temp dips at ovulation and then has a rise...from what I gather opk is good for predicting ov and temping is the guarantee that it has happened (nzveg???) Progesterone is because I have a short luteal phase and have had low levels of progesterone which means pregnancy is pretty unlikely as the progesterone needs to be higher than estrogen to stop u just getting a period and washing embryo out so to speak

Yes you can get more than one positive opk. Pretty common to have positives for 2 days in a row. Your measuring the LH surge and that lasts around 24 hours. So if you catch the start and finish it will be positive 2x. Once you get a pos opk most ppl will ovulate. It's no guarantee though. Occassionally ppl with PCOS will get multiple positives without ovulating. Also if your sick/stressed your body can start the surge but then cancel ovulation. This is not that common though. Most ppl ov after a positive opk.
And yes a positive opk predicts ov will likely happen in the next couple of days. A temp rise tells you that it definitely happened.
I have problems with erratic temps too. I'm often a mouth breather. Having said that I have still got enough of a pattern that I recognise ov (check out my charts if you like)

Hi ladies I'm new to charting but I'm trying to figure out my cycle. I am using the opk's at the moment and trying to temp but I'm getting really erratic temp and all my opk seem to be negative. Doe the time of day matter using opk's. I have been using them first thing in the morning but someone told me you shouldn't do this. Any advice for a newbie to all this charting?
