Hi ladies. Wanted to let you know that I had a baby girl late on Friday! DH and I are completely smitten and getting to know each other. She's doing really well and we're planning on going home today! After a rough journey I find myself staring at her a lot and thinking 'is she really mine'!!!

Hi ladies, do any of you observe position of cervix? Curious to know when it drops before AF or if it is a fairly good indication of pregnancy?

DAmmit I lost the top of my post!!!!! I did say....

I'm very sorry for your loss Kumeroa and will you be TTC again in...

August? Will you be under care while TTC? Or will you need clomid or anything? I'm a novice when it comes to eptopic, but I know someone who had one and then conceived TWINS before her 3 month bench was up (by accident), crazy!! (They are well and healthy by the way )

Weird you had such a short LP Oxy? Do you take vitex? I'm seriously thinking about it - hoping it will bring my OV forward. Does anyone here take it? I want to know which brand has the smallest pill that you take least often LOL (I think the blackmoores pill is huge and taken 3 times a day >.<) Also regarding period pain and labour pain, well I get horrendous AF pain (so thought I could handle labour). But my labour was nothing like period pain, it was all back pain, like someone grinding the back of my lower spine out from the inside. So I was horribly shocked! Different for everyone I guess. (Although baby was facing wrong way with the back of his head against my spine and I have a retroverted uterus).

KP is your dating scan this week?!!!!!!!!

Awesome OPK lines Kaz!!!! Are both the green and pink sticks extra sensitive? And awesome chart! Can't wait for the next two days of temps as well! One more BD tonight just to be safe? hehe, you've got an excellent effort so far! Although if you had horrible OV pain already I'd say you've got your bases well and truly covered. I've never personally got UTD from BD'ing after OV pain, only before. Pretty sure my eggs have the shorter life span AND that is soooo awesome your SiL is gifting you a massage with Pip!! Awesome, awesome pressie!

Tasmin, very interested to see your chart link when you manage to get it , I vote for CD22 as well.

YAY 12 week ticker past 12 weeks Sara does baby have a nickname?!

Can't remember how much I've mentioned about my test results and Dr visits lately. So here's the short story! I requested a copy of all my medical files relating to fertility, ever. (big file!) and went through all my test results and put them in a table to easily compare. I used to be a complete novice about anything TTC, pregnancy or baby related. Now I think I know more than GP's and the average OB. In 2013 I tested positive for ANA (1:160 Speckled), this result is questionable, not terrible depending on other tests. I also tested borderline on the APTT test (33.2 sec (23-31)). My GP that ordered these tests was lovely and was helping me because of recurrent loss. I was actually pregnant with my son at the time and carried him to term and she left the practice and I never saw her again or was explained my results.... so I never knew to follow up or do anything about them.

Fast forward to now, 2 more missed miscarriages and I get all these tests again. I test positive for ANA (1:320 speckled), this result is now a definite cause to investigate. I also test positive for LA (Lupus Anticoagulant).

These positive results are proven causes for recurrent miscarriage.

The chromosome testing for myself, DH and our last baby all came back fine.

The moral of the story is, always get copies of your results and research them yourself. Don't blindly trust medical professionals like I did.

If I had of understood my test results from 2013 I could have followed them up before conceiving again and potentially saved myself from losing any more babies.

To have your test results taken seriously and get prescribed drugs to fix the problem, you have to test positive 12 weeks apart. So I am going to avoid getting UTD (my own choice) until the first week of September, then get tested again. Then demand treatment, then get back on the TTC wagon.

Sorry for the novel!!

Hey Nov, I check CP and I see Kaz has started as well.

You can tell on our charts linked on the previous page. On my chart it is the 4th line under the cycle days. Called 'CP' for cervix position and then things like 'HF' mean High, Firm or 'HSO' High, Soft, Open.

My hormones are completely screwed at the moment I think. So not reliable. But I always have HSO when I'm about to OV.

When pregnant it's a bit more confusing, I tend to get what I would called a swollen, medium feeling cervix, at a medium or low level (in the beginning). That may not be the same for everyone.

Dr's used to feel the cervix as another way to confirm pregnancy. With it being High and Firm as an indicator. Obviously it has been proven unreliable and so they don't do that anymore!!

What do they use to help avoid miscarriage for that Nellenium? that is a shame that noone had looked at your results earlier, we do have to be proactive though don't we.

Kazper nice first temp rise, looking forward to it just going up from now, excellent about the massage, hopefully this 2WW goes reasonable quick for you,

Yay NZVeggie, that's awesome congratulations.

I have a dating scan on Thursday, will be 6w6d, sounds weird knowing exactly how far along I am and having a dating scan lol but looking forward to it anyway, my numbers went up from 2051 to 3290 in 48 hours last week and nurse scared me saying it wasn't great and should have doubled, but google says 60% increase at 5w4d/6d is acceptable. I haven't told FA yet but think I will after this scan comes out all good as I am still on the IVF waitlist.

Thank you very much for the information Nellium! Will have a look at your chart. I have seen some things in forums I have googled about observing it for pregnancy and seem to read that before AF it drops but I am curious as to how soon before AF that would occur. I checked it yesterday twice (first time ever) and noticed it was very high, medium and possibly tilted towards the back although was sitting down so possibly hard to tell that.

AF is due in 3 days on Thursday and still getting lots of white/clear creamy/ lotion CM.

Nell I have taken vitex in the past and did muck up my cycles so won't taking that again, I have also taken b6 to lengthen LP which didn't help much.

Congrats Nzveggie on your arrive of your baby girl.

I sprained my ankle in January It was still giving me pain, so I went to the doctors this morning they did an x-ray to rules out any broken bones which there wasn't any, so my doctor has referred me to get physio which I start tomorrow.

Congrats NZVegie. That is wonderful news :-)

Nell its great you have all your results and notes together. Have you done any research on what the results mean and can you do something to help with future pregnancies? I have heard low dose asprin has been used as a treatment, but not sure if that would be a treatment for your results? Would be nice if there was something like that that you can start using now without having to get a prescription from a specialist.

Yep I have been checking cervix. I do it same time of day as my cervix changes position throughout the day so I only do in the evening before bed. I only started this cycle as I know that once ovulation has happened it moves to a lower position and is closed for a few days. After that it changes quite a bit so I don't bother checking. I did notice though that while I was checking to see if I ovulated that the two days I got positive opks that it was quite soft and high and ff high lighted it green. So guess that means fertile? Which happens to co inside with of ovulating which is good to know for future.
With my December pregnancy I noticed on day before miscarriage that it went super spongey and closed. That was the day I had most pregnancy symptoms to so guess that would be a good sign of pregnancy for me.

Hi girls - will join in next cycle, if I need to - hopefully not! Another temp rise this morning but going to be more relaxed about it now and just temp every other day. Otherwise I get too stressed! GL to those waiting, or about to ovulate ☺

I yeah and I am on vitex - thompsons, they are fine... fairly chunky but at least it's just one! My cycle has gone down to normal ish length after really long cycles. Apparently you won't be able to buy many of these sort of vitamins after October? New laws coming in... Also taking conceive well gold and can't find that for love nor money anywhere!

Nov bub - my cervix goes high and
firm right before af and is often tilted to the back in the last week before af. I think everyone is different. Once you get through a few cycles you will know what your normal is.

Yeah I know, was just a moment of panic and then moved on as numbers going up is good, looking forward to my scan, not long to wait now.

Tasmin I usually didn't chart in the 2WW as once I had the confirmed temp rise there was no point as you can't tell if you are going to get a BFP or AF from the temps anyway.

I don't get on here much at the moment as I am not TTC and my daughter is keeping me busy. I hope to be back soon when I am charting and TTC again though.
